The flat is located in the Brunswick area of Hove, an area characterised by the classic Regency architecture of the early 19th century. Lansdowne Place links the seafront road with Western Road, where buses run every couple of minutes to Brighton or to Hove town centre both less than a mile away so well within easy walking distance. Hove lawns and the beach are 250 metres away at the end of the road and Brighton or Hove stations are just over a mile away. The area is very well served with cafes, restaurants, pubs and interesting shops.
Should you require parking I have a limited number of on street resident parking permits available for £4 per day.
The flat is my home but don't worry, I've declutterd, had a good clear out and there is plenty of storage space for you to unpack. I am busy working most weekends and will be staying locally with friends or family. I am therefore on hand to advise you of what to do in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding area and be around should you have any problems. However I totally respect your privacy and will be more than happy to leave you to it! I am flexible about check in and check out times. I hope you choose to stay in my flat and love it as much as I do!
When we arrived, Tara was there to greet us, was very friendly, informative, and made us feel well at home. The flat itself was lovely, well kept, spacious, and felt homely. The area is very pleasant, and more relaxed than Brighton (which is only a short walk away).
We had a lovely short break, made all the more relaxing by the wonderful accommodation. I heartily recommend this place!
We had a lovely stay at Tara’s apartment – it was perfect & felt like a home away from home. The apartment was really clean with lovely bright rooms, the décor was right up our street & it had everything you needed. The bed was super comfy !
The seafront is only a few minutes’ walk and the various cafes, deli’s & pubs are literally a stones throw away. The Freemasons had great food, as did the Thai restaurant Aumthong. Great atmosphere in the Wick Inn & fab sandwiches from Le Grand Cochon.
Tara was a great host, she was flexible with arrival/departure times & left lots of info on the apartment & local pubs/restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay here - Tara’s place & Hove will always be our first choice in the area.
This is a really lovely place to stay! The flat is so welcoming and Tara is a very kind and thoughtful host. The instuctions note covered everything you could think of and more. Lansdowne place is nice and quiet but with great little places to eat/drink at one end and the sea at the other. We loved staying here, would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to anyone else visiting Brighton & Hove - thank you Tara!
Wanting an authentic Brighton lifestyle experience I arranged to stay here with my mum for a surprise weekend break. We were not disappointed. What a fantastic apartment! The decor is quirky and as a keen traveler & love of anything vintage, I appreciated Tara's style . It was very spacious, warm, with a homely feel. The apartment looked just as the photos. The beds were very comfortable. I slept in the double over head bunk in the lounge which was great, very cosy and would be great for older children. The apartment is near to many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets & sea front in Hove. Central Brighton was a 20 minute stroll or a short bus/taxi ride. We took advantage of the walk into Brighton via the sea front and it meant we got to see much more of the area walking different routes to & from the apartment. The apartment was clean, there were towels, an ipod system & a well equipped kitchen, although we never cooked with all the great places to eat out. Tara was away for our stay but she arranged for a friend to be on hand should there be any problems. Tara had also left a list of instructions on how to use appliances should you need them & recommendations on places to eat, which was very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, a much more pleasurable experience than any hotel.
Apartment was in a great location, close to the waterfront and easy walking distance to the sites of Brighton. It was clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this property to couples.
What a beautiful place to stay! We had a wonderful time, the flat is absolutely gorgeous, right near the sea so was perfect for blustery walks along the seafront and really easy to get in to brighton and hove. Tara is a friendly and helpful host, who offered some great recommendations of places to eat locally - we had a delicious breakfast in nearby Cafe and Salvage - where all the reclaimed furniture they use is also for sale.
I would highly recommend staying in Tara's beautiful apartment.
Hove is the perfect location, even in January! We felt cosy and warm whilst the sea lapped away right at the end of the street. And when the sun came out, we wandered aimlessly down to the beach, taking in all the cute art shops and cafes along to the famous pier. The Royal Pavillion was the coolest ice rink setting ever, the Museum of Art was full of contemporary wonder, and the Laines provided us with hours of curio shopping. We cooked breakfast for ourselves in the apartment, but also found many excellent eateries nearby that were coeliac-friendly, Green Mango, Gourmet Pizza Kitchen, and Idyea, to mention a few. Well recommended.
Tara's place was delightful, spacious, clean and homely. Much, much more personality than any hotel room. Tara helped us with parking (always fun), left simple instructions for everything we needed, and was understanding when we inevitably forgot a little item after we'd locked up!
All very easy, very comfy, very tempting to do it again. Thank-you Tara, it was just the post Xmas getaway we craved.
Tara's flat is probably one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at through airbnb. It was even better than the photos. The flat has everything you may need and is incredibly well equipped. The location was spectacular and there were so many shops and cafes close by. I highly recommend the patisseries around the corner for cake and coffee. The high street was an easy walk and the pier was about 25 minutes down the road. Tara was really great to communicate with and was happy to accommodate a last minute late check in. I highly recommend this flat if you are thinking about visiting Brighton/Hove.
Wonderful apartment - lovely and cosy and had everything you could possible want in a lovely Brighton pad!
Brilliant location and a cosy flat with bags of character and charm.
