Interaction with Guests
My guests are always greeted (unless they arrive under unusual circumstances). I am usually available to our guests for questions, supplies, etc. Interaction depends on guests needs as well as my availability. Guests are welcome to watch or take my Flamenco classes on Saturday 11-12:30 or Thursday evening 6:30-8PM.
I love the quiet of being surrounded by nature. I love the views of the ocean and the canyon and the sunset and the incredible sky. I love that we are close to town yet feel secluded. I love the colors and the sounds of animals and birds. I want to share this experience with my guests.
Public transit does not come up here (it starts 3 miles down the hill). A car or taxi is recommended.
Parking is included.

This is such a lovely spot. A stunning view, very quiet, and I haven't seen that many stars at night in years!
The loft was very nice as well. Rustic, even a bit quirky, with a really good atmosphere and good light. My son loved the comfy loft bed.
The hosts are good people as well. Next time I plan to stay in the area, I will check back here.
Marianne our host was amazing, she went above and beyond to help us get settled and know where things were. The accommodations were as listed some what rustic but had everything we needed and super clean and tidy. The space was peaceful and quiet and we will be back for another visit. Thanks Marianne for the great vacation space.
We only stayed one night, but had such a great time.
Wonderful host, homey accommodations and a stunning view!
The property was beautiful. loved the area. For the most part it was a good experience. there are a couple problems though. the main issue is that there simply were not enough bathrooms for the amount of people that were there during our visit. we did not cook or use the kitchen but i would assume that if we were going to, there would have been a log jam in there as well at critical times (mainly breakfast). i can only assume that the amount of people that were staying there on our weekend was abnormally high because other people did not have the same complaints (at least that i read) when i was booking it. The price (although quite a bit cheaper than anything else we were able to find for that weekend) seems high just when comparing to other accommodations we had this same summer in full service summer destinations (Mammoth, San Diego, etc.) but this is the first time we stayed in santa cruz so maybe the price is in-line with the market. You need to understand that this is a different type of experience and have an open mind to it. It would not work for some people and i thought i was going to have to leave and find another place when my wife first saw it, but after we stayed (w/ the exception of the bathroom issue) we actually enjoyed it very much. it was very quiet i had 2 great nights sleep. We did not spend much time there other than to sleep so i can not comment on how the property was other than early morning and late evening. this type of accommodation also allows you to meet people more so than you would in a normal hotel or condo situation.
It was a delightful form of glampimg. Perhaps a little pricey for what was offered, but a beautiful location and landscape. Hostess was great and greeted us promptly upon arrival and did not intrude in our space, was nice that our room was away from main living quarters.
We had such a lovely time at Marianna's abode. The loft which was just as described, is set within a Mediterranean-like premises, a creative space that blooms during the day, colourful lights twinkle at night.
It is set in the ideal location for visiting beaches, coastal towns and State Parks inland with only 15 Minutes from Capitola, our favourite town to visit.
A longer stay makes good sense here as there is so much to see and do.
Marianna is a very welcoming and gracious host. She takes care of any issues that might arise immediately and respects each guest's privacy.
The simple kitchen proved to be most helpful to have on hand and a place to meet the other guests.
It is a wonderful place for families as children were able to run freely and comfortably and in our case meet other children they loved. There is enough space to have privacy and quietude.
We warmly recommend the loft.
My girlfriend two kids and I really enjoyed the place. Marianna was great, and I wish we could of hung out more. Great walks around the place. Quiet!
