This is a very simple beach and forest studio located on 200 mostly-forested acres. It's rustic and basic with lots of natural light and fresh air. It is not fancy!! There are no ocean views - just a few glimpses if you crane your neck and squint from the upstairs mezzanine. The property has over a kilometre of frontage onto the Meringo Lagoon. From the studio there is easy access to the beach - about a five to ten minute walk across national park. Access is better suited to AWD or 4WD.

The space
The studio is located on 200 acres and you will have access to the whole property - though caution is recommended and you are advised to stick to cleared areas and trails. There are snakes, goannas, spiders and ticks.

Also note that access is via a rough and rocky 1.5km long driveway and cars with low clearance are not recommended and will need to drive extremely cautiously - the speed limit on the property is 10km/hr.

The studio is not perfect - the concrete slab is stained and there are cobwebs and flies that are hard to keep out. There are no designer appliances or furniture out of Vogue Living. What you are paying for is unprecedented coastal privacy, with exclusive use of 200 acres of wild coastal land and giant trees.

At night time the studio must be closed up - especially doors and rollerdoors as there are armies of critters that want to get inside!

To avoid disappointment so that you are aware of exactly what you are getting please make sure you read the full house profile. There is no air conditioning. We find that it's unnecessary because of the location and the design of the house. There is also no wifi. Please NOTE! It's a maximum of four adults only! I have security cameras on the property, which you will be welcome to turn off during your stay but it means I will know how many guests have arrived. Also my neighbours keep a close eye on comings and goings as the driveway goes past their back fence.
Very important to note here...if you are interested in staying at the Studio then you will need to provide your own bed linen, towels and tea towels. We provide doonas and pillows (one pillow per person). You MUST also be prepared to take away all your own garbage when you leave and make sure the place is clean and tidy for the next folks. The Studio is checked after visitors leave by a neighbour who keeps an eye on the place for me. I also like to get a report from you on the condition that the last guests have left the place. It's usually between good and pristine. Important COVID-19 note: Airbnb has made it a requirement of all hosts to follow new COVID-19 cleaning protocols. For the Studio this will mean that guests will need to make sure than when cleaning before check out, that they wipe down benches and tables with a cleaning fluid and spray aerosol sanitiser on all taps and door knobs and handles before departing. In addition you'll need to mop the floors with disinfectant. I apologise profusely for this additional inconvenience however i expect you'd use a cleaning fluid to wipe benches and tables anyway and a quick spray of door knobs and handles wont take much time. It's probably the mopping that's the added burden...sorry :(

I want to STRESS it's NOT a hotel! There's going to be cobwebs here and there, although i try to stay on top of that and there will be dust from time to time. We get little visitors like possums and bush rats and there's usually lots of birds and kangaroos hanging around. It's very much a bush experience and not for those expecting Hyatt style luxury. I want to stress this is a bush studio and it won't always be pristine and sometimes that will also depend on just how well the previous guest cleans the place. We don't have a regular cleaner because it's fairly remote and therefore we found the expense only makes it much more costly for you, the guest.

There is the master loft with queen size bed upstairs which offers beautiful views of the forest and a cosy bedroom downstairs (queen bed).

The nearest shops are in the small country town of Moruya about ten minutes drive away and where you can get just about anything you need food-wise. There is a bus service that runs between Sydney and Moruya but you'd need a car to get to the Camp House from Moruya. The coastline of the Eurobodlla is arguably the most beautiful and most wild coastline in NSW and mostly national park. There are so many beautiful and wild beaches to go to and an amazing array of national park destinations nearby.
