About This Listing
We are renting a very spacious 4 bedroom family flat in Aveiro.
The flat features:
-4 double bedrooms. 2 en-suite with double beds + one bedroom with a double bed + 1 double bedroom with two single beds and a child's bed. There is also a spare single mattress and a travel cot available, which can fit in any of the rooms.
-Large living room. Very bright with large floor-to-ceiling windows opening up to a long balcony. Panoramic views are incredible. There's a TV area and sitting area.
-Separate fully equipped kitchen with large dinning area with stunning views of the estuary. The sunset from here is amazing.
-One toilet/bathroom in the hall.
-Wi-Fi throughout the flat.
This is one of the few tall buildings in Aveiro and we're on the top 10th floor. There are two lifts available.
The flat is very well located in Central Aveiro. You can walk to the town centre in 5-10minutes, to the University in 10-15min and to the train station in 10-15min.
There's a large supermarket within walking distance and grocery store and baker just a few steps from the building's entrance.
The flat is very child-friendly (high chair, toys and travel cot) and the park is very close by.
Aveiro is a very good base to explore central and north Portugal. A quick train journey can take you to Porto or Coimbra. And you can also visit the Bairrada region, famous for its wine and restaurants. The coast nearby is well worth a visit, including Costa Nova with its multi-coloured stripped houses and wild beaches.
Central Aveiro is a maze of canals where you can take boat trips and enjoy the calm/relaxed atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. The University of Aveiro is one of the main universities in Portugal and you can enjoy some fine contemporary architecture in its campus.
We would be happy to provide you with loads of local tips. Regional cuisine is excellent and we know some local gems!!
Great huge apartment to be in Aveiro. Only used the car to go to the beach, the rest you can do by nice walks to the city center. Nothing missed in the flat. Carlos was a huge help. We found ovos moles as a gift from Adriana. Wonderful host. The kids also enjoyed the house as it is very kids friendly.
Adriana's home is beautiful and offers unsurpassed views of Aveiro and the surrounding areas. It is located on the Penthouse level of a modern condo/apartment complex and has all the amenities of home. The price to value ration is very good and we can recommend it highly. The only suggestion is that if you don't have GPS or an intimate knowledge of poorly labeled streets in Portugal it can be a bit of a challenge finding. Once found, however, you can't miss it as it's a very obvious building structure and lovely apartment. Tremendous!
I endorse all the previous reviews.
We can recommend the cafe round the corner that sells fresh rolls, and the nearby Ceboleiros restaurant along within others recommended by Adriana. There is also a convenient snack bar near the cafe.
The tour of the nearby Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory was fascinating, and the Aliança Underground Museum (phone to book a tour) was amazing (the Aliança sparking red wine goes well with suckling pig!).
Volveremos!
the appartment was even biggee than expected. Everything was clean and we really appreciated the ovos molles Adriana left us as a gift. The only drawback was the equipement of the kitchen...there was no teflon frying pan. Other than that, it is a great appartme to have a pleasant stay. We definitely recommenf it.

About the Host, Adriana
I'm originally from São Paulo and I've been living in London for 11 years. My partner is from Glasgow and we have a very cute 3.5 year old son. We enjoy travelling and often rent our own house for that purpose.
