Christine's home provided a perfect place for our long weekend friends Thanksgiving reunion. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the water was cold and delicious (Dunsmuir claims to have the best water in the world, which has now been confirmed)! The open floor plan allowed us socialize from the living room to the kitchen. It's location close to some amazing hiking in Castle Crag State Park was ideal.

The house is very centrally located in Dunsmuir and convenient for getting on the freeway. It's also very quiet and off the main road. There are stairs to climb to get into the house, and many of the floors slope a little bit one direction or another, but it's solid and obviously cared for. The house was clean, and had all the essentials (clean towels, soap, dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, comfortable bedding & extra blankets). There is no central heat, but each room is equipped with a space heater that is sufficient (at least in October) to heat the space to a comfortable temp. The queen, double bed and bottom bunk all have memory foam mattresses. There are some games to play and wifi connection, however there is no TV available. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, grater, etc and a few herbs/spices. There is an oven & microwave, a dishwasher, and a full sized fridge. There is also a washer/dryer which was great. Our family had plenty of space to spread out and sleep comfortably. We would stay here again.

This is a very nice cabin-feeling house. One of my favorite parts is the enclosed front porch. The common area/living room and dining room make it family friendly. Be aware that this town is tiny, with a small market grocery store and unreliable restaurants. In our experience, it was more practical to cook our own food. Good thing this house has a full kitchen!!

This is indeed a very nice retreat! Cozy place and comfortable stay with full kitchen and clean ambiance. An inviting cottage with very convenient access to highway and things to do in the little downtown of Dunsmuir! We enjoyed our stay, nice clean spacious and well furnished bed rooms! Christine is a great host, very responsive and prompt to our every query!

Spacious, beautiful, clean home in historic Dunsmuir. The house is unexpectedly large, and has all the basic amenities one needs. Would definitely come back and stay here when we visit the Shasta region next.

This is a cute little place. Dunsmuir has many beautiful hikes and byways to explore and this house is right in the middle of them. It was very clean and had everything necessary to have a great experience. We even kept pretty cool during the 90+ degree August heat. Christine answered all questions right away and all in all it was a good experience.
