  • The hosts keep in touch with me several days before my arrival and since we were arriving early in the morning we were directed to their office to leave our luggage and were pleasantly surprised we could check in early. A lovely girl from the office showed us all the details to the apartment. It’s on the top floor and fortunately there is an elevator if needed. There were 4 adults sharing the apartment and it was nice having the third bedroom for the extra space. The 2 front bedrooms have beautiful old shutters that open up to Juliette balconies with a beautiful view of the port. There is a price to pay for that charm and that is, it’s rather loud at night. Having stayed in older buildings like this before I always travel with earplugs. The furnishings are a very simple, a little worn, but adequate. The kitchen is moderately equipped with no extras, but has a large refrigerator and freezer. Great Wi-Fi.
The location was fabulous; you can walk to almost everything. I loved the Barceloneta area. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the city beach was. Went to several restaurants recommended by the host that were very good and reasonably priced. Overall a very good experience!

  • Well, we never met Drasco or Xenia but a nice swedish girl, who showed us around. So we can say nothing bad about the communication - that was perfect.

The apartment itself is small and has 3 bedrooms (4 beds in total) but only one bathroom (small). two of the bedrooms got a wonderfull view over barcelona/barceloneta.
It is really loud and noisy due to the fact that there is a main street just outside the house. And the walls are thin.

Really bad: we had to sleep in a completely cold apartment because the heater didnt work. They tryed to fix it, but it was still cold. After two people taken a shower, there was no warm water left, so the third one had to take a cold shower. In a cold apartment.

The apartment is very good located.

Bottom line: it was okay, but I would not stay there again

    Response from Xenia And Drasco:

    Our comments:
The apartment size is 70m2 (around 700 sq ft).
There are TWO bathrooms in the apartment, not one.
We have AC heating + extra heaters in the apartment, so it's hard to believe it was completely cold.
The water heater system in the apartment is electric and it needs time to heat the water when it rans out of it.

  • It was a fantastic stay. Ksenia and Drasko are very friendly people. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. You have great views over the port and town. In this apartment you will have an unforgettable time in Barcelona.

  • The flat, although smaller than in the pictures, can comfortably accommodate 4 - 5 people. The elevator, location close to everything, and lovely view are definite advantages. On the not so good side I would mention the bad sewage smell in the kitchen, the very loud two front bedrooms and the fact that I did not get a highchair even if I requested one. All in all, recommended.

  • Perfect place in Barceloneta, close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Therefore quite noisy at night. Also hot, as AC is only in living room. Very good service and communication with Ksenia and Drasko.

  • We had a nice holiday in this appartment. Everything was working fine including the comfortable air condition. Really nice view around the harbour.Just a few things we were a little disappointed about were, that we had now basic nutriments like Salt, Pepper, Oil, dischclothes and so on, that we had to buy that all. In the past appartments we always had these things. I know that it is not normally included, but that was the one thing we had better known before. We were three people, so the place was perfect for us, but we asked ourselves how more people can find place in this appartment, because for eating you only have a table for three. In total it was a really nice holiday and appartment.

  • The apartment has great views and is ideally located in Barceloneta by the Marina. I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

  • Great stay - wonderful location and an adorable apartment. Only criticism was that the batteries on the AC control were almost dead so it was difficult to operate, there was no backup supply of toilet paper to be found, an extra set of keys or two would have been helpful and the maid came a few minutes early but gladly waited for us to check out on time. The view is darling. You can easily access the beach, restaurants and tour bus drop offs. You could walk to the La Rambla but taxis are also readily available. We were met on time and given a helpful tour of the apartment as well as suggestions on where to go. There are lovely little places in all of the allies to enjoy for food, drinks or shopping as well. Everything was clear and straightforward and we would gladly recommend this as a place to stay. It's a great apartment in a great location and overall it was an extremely pleasant experience. Cheers!

Xenia: I am originally from Moscow and I moved to Barcelona 4 years ago. I love this city because it's a perfect combination of history, culture and seaside, mountains and beaches, because of its climate (300 sunny days in a year) and because of it's size - it not too small neither too big. I practice Yoga, play beach volley and study german language. I wish all my guests enjoy Barcelona the same way I do, and I since I know Barcelona very well, I can give you good tips on where to eat, go for a shopping, go at night, which sightseeing to visit, and whatever you wish to know about this beautiful city. I speak spanish, english, russian and german. Drasco: I am originally from Serbia, have been living in Barcelona since 2001. I like to play basketball, interested in new technologies and in foreign languages. I know every single street of the Old Town of Barcelona and a vast majority of the other Barcelona neighbourhoods. I like people and I can answer to almost any question regarding your stay in Barcelona. I speak english, swedish, russian, catalan, spanish and serbian. We prefer to travel on our own, to stay at private houses or rooms all over the world because we believe that way we can learn more about a new country, its people, traditions, etc. Our life motto: if you dare to win, you can't lose! :-) You're welcome to stay with us in Barcelona! :-)
