  • Marlen is the sweetest person on this side of world. Her English should be the envy of any Italian business person and her facilities are to die for; so convenient to the city and to the airport. Her place is an oasis in the heart of hustle bustle. Happy Days comes with high recommendations from this happy couple.

  • We booked Happy Days Fiumicino thinking it was close to the airport, but it was not. Marlene sat us down and requested that we pay 2 euros each, having been to many B&B's in Italy without having to pay it,( on our 6 weeks vacation), we questioned it, but we were tired and just paid it! The place was tidy but not clean, we were under the impression of having a private bath, but we did not.We unfortunately did not get much sleep, due to another guest falling asleep with tv on loud, I had to get up and bang on the wall and his door several times before he turned it off(this was no fault of Marlen). Marlen had good information about Rome and sorroundings.

hello marcella,it would be necessary that you hve a check on the booking you hve done:room no 3 (bathsharing),so obviousely you get what you pay for! as to the touristtax:this tax is a low!|!!!!!!!!! it is also mentioned by airbnb,as to the clouseness to the airport:: there is hilton hotel wright at the airport, the only one close as you would like it,(there is a smoll difference in the price though) we are the best connected to the
airport out of all b&b in the surroundings !|!! (10 min ,3 stops)

  • Marlen was a generous host. She provided us with amazing travel tips to and from the city centre in Rome and she even gave us a cell phone to use in case we got lost or missed the last train back to Ponte Galleria. The location is what makes this spot attractive. It's right on the train line and between the city and the airport. It takes about 15 min to get into the city by train and then you can transfer to the subway system to get around. The room was clean and there was parking available. There is a private driver available to take you places (for a fee) and we used this service to get to the airport for our flight home because the train wasn't running early enough.

It's a rustic setting and there are animals around (pet dog and possum), so make sure that you are comfortable with this. Bring mosquito repellant just in case too. We didn't wake up in time for breakfast, so we can't comment on the food, but Marlen was kind enough to let us store some perishable food that we arrived with from our travels in her fridge.

    Thanks Marlen!

  • My stay at Happy Days B&B was fabulous, the atmosphere is great and so was the host! Happy Days is very close to the airport and only few minute walk from the train station which made it extremely easy to get around Rome and to the centre, if i was unsure where to go Marlen was there to show me the way (very helpful). Also i mentioned to Marlen i wanted to learn Italian cooking and now, i have learnt to cook italian!!! Marlen was kind enough to help me with that too! Aswell as cooking pasta i have learnt over 20 different types of cakes/sweets from the help of Marlen aswell..
Overall my time at Happy Days was a great experience and will definitely be coming back next time im in Rome.

  • I spent four nights at Marlene's B&B, and everything was just really good. The location is quiet, and close to everything I needed (Fiera Roma, train station and supermarket, but also the main city airport is within a few minutes drive). I did not need any particular assistance during my stay, but I am sure Marlene would have helped me if needed. She allowed me to park my car close to the B&B, as no other guests needed the space during the same time. Well worth the money!
