About this listing
The Forest Loft is centrally located, close to town, beaches and public transportation. It is a bright, cozy , self contained suite
(I don't serve breakfast) on the second floor with queen size bed, a private bathroom and separate entrance. There is a kitchenette, equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, kettle, fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee, tea, salt and pepper.
Looking at the photo the suite is in the smaller building on the left, on the second floor.
A third person is possible on a comfy foamy. Pets are welcome.
My place is halfway between Ganges (7km) the main town and Fulford Harbour (7km) from where you can catch the ferry to Victoria. There is a bus stop 800m from my place at the main road. The closest grocery stores are in Ganges (Thrifty's, Country Grocer) and/or Fulford (Corner store type). Coming by bike be aware that you arrive at sea level and you will have to do some uphill climbing to get to my place. The island is quite hilly, its a constant up and down.
My guests love the private, peaceful setting, fresh air and quiet nights.
Rates are: Oct.- May $70 June - Sept. $80
Pets are $10 and a third person is $15

Awesome space! Very secluded and quiet and the room is awesome with ensuite kitchen and privacy. Sabine is a great host and keeps the place v clean.
Quiet, Quiet, Quiet! Loved this place. Sabine was there when we got there and welcomed us. The suite is private, clean and comfortable. Loved the location and the facilities were what we needed.
This was both my first time to Salt Spring and my partner's first time, as well. First off, if you don't have a car, be prepared to pay a fortune to get a cab. Salt Spring is very hilly and cycling wouldn't of been an option for me.
The room was nice, private entry, nice pine scent upon entering. The property was clean, but it looked like it hadn't been rented in a while and hadn't really been spruced up, either. There was a very strong sulfur (egg) smell from both the shower and the toilet.
Internet was fine, the pitcher of water in the fridge was a nice touch, as was the supplied tea. The bed was much more firm than what I was used to and I didn't see any extra pillows, so my partner and I got one each. It was quiet, isolated and very peaceful. I don't see myself going to Salt Spring again anytime soon, so I don't think I'll be back.
The host canceled this reservation 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a great stay at the Forest Loft. It's located at a quiet but accessible part of the island. Getting in by car is easy and the accommodation is clean, comfortable and cozy. No fuss at all and we enjoyed our stay! Sabine is a responsive, kind and helpful host - she was kind enough to quickly mail us the phone charger we left behind. Definitely recommended!
Sabine is a wonderful and welcoming host, and the Forest Loft is all and more than described. It is quiet, serene and beautiful. Highly recommend this lovely place to stay to anyone travelling to Salt Spring Island.
We will definitely be back, Thank you Sabine for accommodating Pete & I this past weekend.
About the Host, Sabine
I'm a cheerful, active and fun loving person spending as much time outside as I can preferably with friends biking, hiking or running. I would like to do more traveling but living here on this island makes up for having to stay at home too much. I enjoy greeting my guests, making them feel comfortable and telling them about Salt Spring.
