We loved our stay at Casa Flamboyan! The house was very comfortable with air conditioning in the bedrooms, adequate kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, and beach chairs, all in working condition. We were greeted by the house manager JoAnne, who is a wonderful and very friendly woman. JoAnne was very helpful and kind and answered any questions that we had. We felt safe and enjoyed the neighborhood where the home is located. There were three of us vacationing in Vieques and the house was spacious enough to fit us all comfortably. There is also a sink and mirror in one of the bedrooms, making it easier for three women to get ready simultaneously (-: We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable stay in Vieques!

Casa Flamboyan was a lovely vacation home for three. The house was exactly as described, very charming inside and out. We loved the outside deck after a long beach day. The landscape was beautiful and the roof deck was a bonus. The house was very clean with a great layout, we loved the decor. The AC in both bedrooms kept us very comfortable at night. The house was safe and the neighbors were very friendly. The location was great, about a five minute drive to the small town of Isabell. Great coffee and gift shops. Make sure you rent a Jeep to explore the island. We cant say enough about Joanne the house manager. She really went above and beyond to answer all of our questions about the house and the Island. (Thank you Joann) We absolutely loved the house and can't wait to come back.

We stayed at David & Jane's great home for 3 nights. Their property manager stayed in touch with us through calls and texts awaiting our arrival. She also checked in with us throughout our stay asking if we had any questions or concerns. There were just 2 of us staying and there was tons of room. The master bedroom had a small sink in addition to plenty of closet and drawer space, which was very convenient. The home was spotlessly clean and decorated very nicely. The roof deck had beautiful views and we really enjoyed our stay, although it was too short!

Overall, we had a nice stay. Joann was very helpful in getting us to the house, no addresses so finding it on your own will not be easy. House was well stocked and had many essentials like cooler, beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. Snorkeling gear was not really usable, and it's expensive to buy on the island so i would recommend packing your own! Location was fine, not walking distance into town. Safe seeming house, although many places around it did not seem so. A few things that were not as enjoyable were the amount of bugs in the house. Some of which seemed like a cleanliness issue, not the nature of being in an environment with a lot of bugs. There were little tiny ants (lots of them) crawling in the bed from the window which was not a nice experience. Washer and dryer attached to the house which was a nice bonus.

Response from David And Jane:
Thanks, Ashley, for sharing this feedback. We actually replaced our snorkeling equipment with new gear a few months ago, but see that these items are no longer at the house. It's all to say that we will purchase some new equipment for use by our guests. We will also take a look at the window screens in the bedrooms to make sure they are in good shape, though I have to say that the little ants are common in the tropics and are quick to find any food that is left out!

This was a very pleasant house to stay in. The owners have a knack for figuring out what is useful for visitors and have provided it. For example, lots of sink space and shelves in the bathroom for cosmetics, toiletries, cosmetics or whatever. Another example, a large dresser next to the front door so things needed for going out can be stored where they won't be missed, like keys and sunglasses and sun lotion and hats. They must spend time visiting there and add good features when they go. Everything is beautifully painted and cleaned, and there are things in the kitchen that are most needed and then some. We like to cook, and there was good equipment there for us. There was also four cats and a dog who stay in the yard but like attention, and snacks. One thing needs to be said so there are no shocks, this is Puerto Rico on a small island. There are many abandoned houses and cars nearby, which don't affect a vacation, but may be startling if you haven't visited PR before. Everywhere in PR is like that. And then there are roosters, lots of them, in the neighborhood. They are walking around all over, and on your fence as well. Artificial light and roosters don't mix, so expect a serenade all night. We are used to it, but bring earplugs if you are not. As for Vieques, it is really, really rural, but that means they have gorgeous beaches, more than we had time to visit in four days, and hardly any people to go to them. We were on beaches a mile wide with almost no other people. Many of them are contenders for best beach in the Caribbean, which is saying a lot. Public transportation is nil, so you need a Jeep, because roads are rough. Everyone seems to drive slowly and politely, so you can take your time navigating the narrow streets and bumpy beach accesses. We really enjoyed eating outside on the front veranda every night with warm temperatures and a nice view. It is so relaxing to go down to the local fish market, pick your dinner, and grab some vegetables at the local market, all close in Isabella Segunda, and whip up something delicious. The prices on lobster and conch are unbelievably low (don't tell the fish market guys that!) You can pet the cats while sipping something tasty and looking out from the hill. If we had gotten home earlier, we could have eaten on the roof, but we always stayed out too late. The house manager was quite kind, but really everything is laid out and obvious so there wasn't much we had questions about. Great place to spend a short vacation.

We had a great tie staying at this beautiful vacation home! there is enough space; living room, dining area, a beautiful balcony and a roof terrace with a great view. the house is lovingly furnished and has everything you need for a great summer get-away. you also get used to the roosters waking you up in the morning, and you appreciate the quiet rural setting of the house. joanna greeted us warmly and was there for any kinds of questions you might have. i would definitely come back!

My wife and I are retired school teachers. We first visited Vieques in 1995 with family friends and quickly fell in love with the beaches and Island charm. In 2007, we decided to buy a home of our own on the Island with our son.

In our spare time, we love to travel and spend time with our family. We have equipped Casa Flamboyan with everything we'd want for an enjoyable family holiday. Just bring your swim suits and enjoy!
