A BRIGHT CLEAN COZY SINGLE ROOM with a flip-up computer table with chair. Small but very clean with lots of hanging space and under-bed storage. Easily accessible from Heathrow and Gatwick. Ideal for the single business or leisure traveller.

The Space

The room has hangers, towels, bed linen, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer, London guidebooks, and global adaptor plug.

The flat is entirely pet-free, non-smoking, and I have anti-allergy pillow covers and bed linen.

My home is an ideal base for a single person looking to enjoy and explore London, and all the sites and attractions it has to offer!

The Tube station is a short 15 minutes walk away, 16 minutes by tube to Piccadilly Circus (Westend) 8-10 minutes to Knightsbridge (Harrods) and Hyde Park.

There are excellent transport links and direct tubes from Heathrow airport (Piccadilly line and easy bus ride) Perfect for an extended holiday or for someone away on business needing a place to stay while away from home.

My home is a Classic Victorian tenement flat, situated in a quiet location, I love living in this wonderful city and I'm sure you will too!

Interaction with Guests

I'm very happy to interact as little or as much as little as the you would like. During weekdays I am at work, and can be away at weekends; so you may have the luxury of the whole flat to yourself for some of your stay.

I'm always happy to talk you through the London attractions including a few local favourites and I always give an orientation when you first arrive.

The Neighborhood

Fulham is vibrant and has a village atmosphere and excellent transport links. Location-wise the flat is in one of the most exclusive locations in Zone 2 of London. The area is quiet and extremely safe part of London.

Sightseeing:

There are a wide variety of bus routes from right outside the flat that go to all the top sightseeing and shopping spots.

Getting around

Fulham Broadway is the closest tube, and served by the District Line. Hammersmith is also close and is served by the Piccadilly (Heathrow), Circle, District, and the Hammersmith & City lines. All tube stations can also be reached by a five minute bus journey, or a 15 minute walk.

Cycles for hire: Right outside the flat is London's Barclays Cycle Hire scheme, ideal for a short cycle down to river, exploring locally, or venturing into the heart of London. I have lots of cycle guides and a helmet for your use.

Getting here:

Top travel tip 1: Get a London Oyster card. Top it up with £10. This will get you to the flat via London train, tube or bus.

Top travel tip 2: Get the 'Citymapper' app. Excellent app showing all bus, tube, overground and walking directions between points - plus all costs and timings. Highly recommended.

Other Things to Note

From Heathrow. Take tube to Hammersmith then easy bus trip to Dawes Road. Journey time 1.5 - 2 hours from plane landing.

From Gatwick. I recommend Easybus non-stop to Earls Court/West Brompton. Then an easy 15 minute walk to flat. Journey time 2 - 3 hours from plane landing.

From Stansted. I recommend Easybus. This is a non-stop service to Baker Street. Journey time 2 - 3 hours from plane landing.

From National Railway stations (except Victoria Station, where I suggest you pick up the 211 bus to Hammersmith which goes right past my flat) go to Hammersmith tube station and follow directions as per Heathrow - recommended. Journey time 45 minutes from most stations.

I look forward to your booking request, see you soon!

  • I have nothing but good things to say about Antonia as a host and her apartment. It is very clean and accommodating and conveniently located close to buses and the underground. The host went out of her way to make me feel welcome and was willing to help with any problems and questions I had. Plus she was easy going and nice to speak to. I will not have any reservations going back to stay with Antonia again.

  • I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about my time at Antonia's. She is a just wonderful hostess - very helpful, very accommodating, and very interesting to talk with. The flat is well situated for getting around to all the sites in London, and is in an area I always felt safe walking around on my own in.

  • It's a clean and cosy flat. Antonia was nice and hospitable.

  • I couldn't fault Antonia, she was a lovely host. Always very helpful and considerate. The flat is really nice and the room has lots of storage space to unpack your things while you stay. If you want a stress free place in London, this is it.

  • Antonia's flat is in a great location and she is a charming, helpful and knowledgeable host. She has thought of everything for the busy traveller, including international plugs and adaptors to suit all the electrical equipment we tend to bring with us. The accommodation is just as described in her listing; it's clean and compact and there's 'a place for everything and everything in its place'. The attractions of the local area are too numerous to mention but suffice to say that I didn't have enough time to enjoy all the pubs, cafes, cinemas and antique shops which are on offer. Most significant for me, though, is the proximity to public transport, with bus stops almost on the doorstep and a tube station a pleasant ten-minute walk away, which means that everything in London, including Heathrow, is easily accessible. But don't be too quick to rush off to the crowded tourist destinations for entertainment - the walks from Antonia's flat, along the river, to Hammersmith or Fulham Palace or Chelsea Harbour are the real joys of London for me and it was Antonia who pointed out these last two. I recommend this accommodation highly and I thank Antonia for her generosity. I intend to return to this airbnb in Fulham when next I'm in London.

  • I had a great time at Antonia's flat which is small but very nice and clean. It is perfectly located in the nice and safe area of Fulham (the tube is not far and brings you to central London in just fifteen to thirty minutes) which I enjoyed a lot because it has some cosy cafes and is not far away from the river. I spent 4 weeks with Antonia, who was always helpful, friendly and uncomplicated. She really aims to make you feel at home and offers some great amenities like loads of books about London, a hairdryer, adapters, a bathrobe and a good supply of coffee and tea. Regardless of whether you just stay there for a few days or for longer, you will surely have a great time and a nice home for your time in London.

  • Trust the positive reviews - Antonia's flat is a wonderful home away from home, and Antonia herself is a wonderful hostess. Though I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her, her communication was absolutely outstanding - thorough and prompt, made me feel completely prepared for my visit to London. She checked on me during my trip and even answered minor questions I had while she was away on holiday herself. As you can tell from her Airbnb listing, she takes a lot of care to make guests feel welcome and provide them with good information on the Fulham area and London. She has an amazing binder full of guides, annotated maps, etc. to help you get around. The flat itself was very clean and it felt welcoming and homey. In a short week's trip, I got to know all the bus and tube lines nearby intimately and without trouble, and I enjoyed the Fulham area a great deal. Thank you, Antonia, for making my visit so comfortable and for being a great hostess!

  • Antonia is a really good host! She is very friendly, hospitable and helpful. I received many advices as well as maps and tips prepared for the visitors in London.
The apartments are rather small, but clean and nice, and location is very good, it's just 10 minutes on foot from Fulham Broadway station, or 2 stops by bus, and the station is not far away from city centre. There are 2 groceries in the area. Also Antonia has a variety of tea and coffe for the guests, it was very good to have a tea just at the arrival.

  • Antonia was such a warm and hospitable host. Her home was charming, clean and neat. It is also well served by buses and trains. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Thanks Antonia!

About
Hello, I am a longtime Londoner of 30 years and I love this city. I have been hosting since May 2012 and have found it to be an absolutely delightful experience. I'm only sorry I didn't do this sooner! It is wonderful how airbnb has helped us regular people open their doors to the curious traveller, and I am very happy that I can now contribute to this way of experiencing the world. I've really enjoyed hosting and chatting with all the lovely airbnb'ers who have come to stay and I'm looking forward to being a guest myself sometime soon. I work for Local Government in economic development, and love living in this part of the big city, as it has a village atmosphere and is close to the river - my bit of countryside in the city. See you soon! Antonia
