Two storey cottage. Ground floor master bedroom with ensuite, main bathroom, hall, open plan sitting and dining room with stone built fireplace, patio windows to the back, parking in front. First floor: Room 1: King size bed with a single & ensuite. Second floor: Room 2 : King bed and single and ensuite. Room 3: TWIN BEDDED ROOM. Pub 500m from house. Cafes and restaurants 1m - 7m in area. Horse-riding nearby, Rossbeigh beach is 4 miles away and Kells Bay Beach is a four minute drive!

You will have full access to the house (no other guests in house with you ) Hostess lives in studio annex to the left of property, available (at times) for local info/ suggested restaurants / help and ongoing hosting care. (My desire is to leave you as much space as possible but am happy to help)
***For COUPLES ONLY package the rooms on the second floor will be locked and only one bathroom will be available on the ground floor.(This is to cut down on cleaning/ laundry expenses and to make it less expensive for a couple seeking a city break or chill out space)
Mostly hostess greets guests and leaves, sometimes local housekeeper greets guests although sometimes (due to work schedules) it may be necessary to arrange collection of keys from neighbour .
Tea/Coffee making facilities provided, welcome pack of firewood / kindling / firelighters.(Fire is ready to light on arrival) Guests will get a full list of household items supplied prior to arrival .
Interaction with guests
Guests are met at the cottage at A PRE ARRANGED ETA and given a brief tour of the facilities. If your arrival is later than pre-arranged it may not be possible to greet you and the keys may be retrieved from a neighbour. Guests are visited again at some point to ensure all is ok. Guests can phone for help during normal daytime hours. The host has a residence adjacent to the property to facilitate short stays.
With the sea facing you on three sides it is easy to feel you are on a ship. The mountains to the back form a lovely anchor. The cottage is facing Dingle bay and is situated on the world renowned Ring of Kerry. The cosiness of the interior of the cottage is a lovely balance to the external wild Atlantic way.
Stunning views from this traditional stone built cottage. There is a magical quality to this house overlooking Dingle Bay with Rossbeigh beach only a 4 mile drive away and Kells Bay a wonderful 30 minute walk. ( 5mins by car)
The entire cottage is to rent, although there is a SPECIAL OFFER for couples using only the ground floor who do not need the extra bedrooms. Every room in the front of the cottage offers panoramic views across the bay the Dingle Peninsula and the Blasket Islands. There are rolling hills to the back with wandering sheep on high! The nearby beach of Rossbeigh has a newly constructed childrens play area and the village of Glenbeigh is 11 Km away with two Hotels and restaurants and two Pubs and Grocery stores and Butcher , and Post office, Filling Station and mechanic. Killorglin, the home of the famous PUCK FAIR, (mid August only) is a 25 minute trip away and has Banks, Cafe's, Pubs and restaurants, a Public Library and larger Supermarkets
There is a very strict NO SMOKING policy in the cottage.

There are numerous Golf clubs within a radious of 30 miles and the nearest one is Dooks which is a 20 minute drive away.
Kerry Airport at Farranfore is a 35 minute drive away and is serviced with flights from Dublin and London Stanstead and London Luton on a daily basis and flights from Frankfurt Hahn a couple of days per week.
Killarney railway station is well served with a number of departures to Dublin and Cork and Limerick every day and also with plenty of bus connections including a daily Bus service to Glenbeigh and Cahirciveen.
The name of the cottage is called SUAIMHNEAS which means TRANQUILITY in gaelic. Guests have loved the seascapes from the windows and the breath taking sunsets on the horizon - each day a different palette of colours.
Guests rent the entire house. Couples can rent the ground floor with the extra upper rooms locked to cut down on laundry and cleaning.

The cottage is just off the world famous coast road of the Ring of Kerry over looking Dingle bay From Kells you are 50 minutes from Killarney.
Rossbeigh beach is ideal for all types of holidays- walking, fishing, surfing and exploring.
Other things to note
Welcome fire on arrival. Please note extra fuel for stove is not included in rental. Extra bags of Wood blocks /bags of turf/ bags of coal/ etc can be purchased from hostess.
The cottage is offered SELF CATERING. Please advise hostess / housekeeper with a realistic ETA. If you are taking a scenic trip on your way down best to factor in very busy roads in Spring/Summer as tour buses, camper vans and tractors add more time than realises ( :
Logs and kindling are offered for your welcome fire but extra logs/coal/turf can be purchased at the many petrol stations en route, or alternatively can be bought from the hostess.

Check out time is strictly 11am ( to facilitate housekeeper for subsequent bookings)
As with any SC accommodation, really late evening arrivals, unless previously highlighted cause unnecessary difficulties and expense for either the hostess or housekeeper.
No outdoor shoes upstairs :-(
No smoking AT ALL in cottage - dispose of cigarette butts very carefully outside the property as this is a thatch roofed dwelling :-(
Please do not use metal utensils on non stick frying pans :-(
Please place bagged rubbish in exterior wheelie bins before departure:-)

To facilitate short stays ( 2 day bookings are the most popular ) the owner/hostess will live in small Studio annex to the left of cottage (completely separate building!) please knock at left hand side patio windows if anything is needed or if info is required about the locality etc. ( from 9am until 9pm) For longer stays hostess leaves property.

I regularly conduct Art and Walking Getaway Workshops in the magnificent Kingdom of Kerry, Southern Ireland.
