The cottage is absolutely quaint and beautiful. Maureen stayed a bit late to make sure we had a fire started and warm since we were arriving after 7pm.
Everything was tidy and beds set up with electric blankets already on.
The couple calls I needed to speak to her were answered promptly and she was very nice and helpful.
Only thing I would say to other visitors is just enjoy this beautiful place Maureen will take care of your needs.
The thatched cottage was a lovely addition to our Ireland trip. Completely beautiful setting and the home is perfect for groups coming to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and not the city, all the while staying in a cozy cottage.
Would suggest summer or fall/spring trips as the area was rather desolate during our winter trip.
Our host Maureen made us feel at home in the cottage.
Maureen's cottage was the highlight of our Irish vacation!! Charming and comfortable (pictures don't do it justice.) with an unparalleled view. Maureen made us very welcome. Can't wait to come back one day.
We absolutely loved our stay the Maureen's thatched cottage.
It was quaint, and quiet and was a great jumping off point for exploring the ring of Kerry. It was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals with, and do laundry. It made the place really feel like a home for a few days.
Maureen was wonderful to work with, she is generous and was in contact quickly when we needed anything.
Would definitely recommend staying here!
Maureen was an excellent host, considerate and caring. Everything in the fairy house was magical and inspiring. Our kids loved it. My daughter snook into our room on the last day and said she didn't want to leave! A great place to base a visit around ring of Kerry and enjoy the wonders of the Irish seascape and flora. Maureen was like a fairy godmother and had thought of everything to make our stay special.....even down to some cute fairies, animals and I think we actually saw a leprechaun!
This is a very nice place to stay...the main room - kitchen, dining room and living area is very comfortable and attractive. And the "starter pack" for the fireplace was great, as were the scones in the freezer!
There were only 3 of us occupying the house, so there was tons of space. The two main bedrooms (each with an ensuite) also had an extra bed, so clearly this house is designed to host much bigger parties than ours.
The house did have a few "idiosyncracies" - especially for a North American guest, used to hot water on demand. But the water heater was efficient...it just required a little "pre-planning".
Maureen's directions to the house were very clear. And the setting is magnificent, with a small terrace with great views across Dingle Bay. It is a very rural place...no other houses around, but a nice pub is quite close (a short if somewhat scary walk in the dark away).
The pub offers amazing demonstrations of sheep dogs at work. Well worth attending!
A wonderful place with an artistic flair - spending time at Maureen's thatched cottage was so great! The location gives you access to the Ring of Kerry - and the view from the house is spectacular! Day trips to Killarney, Kenmare, Portmagee ( Skellig Michael) are to name a few...
Maureen's relaxed and attentive nature allows you to customize your experience. The room was very comfortable and the living room is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Irish experience!
