Loved this little home! It was so quaint, beautiful views, GORGEOUS! Down the road we met a lovely father/son team..they own Caitlin's and Pat's (the fathers name is Pat, the sons is not Caitlin, it's Jack) but they were so helpful. Spent New Years in the area and Maureen even made our reservation for us, wonderful experience overall...
The cottage was huge and wonderful and Maureen was a great host. We had some travel issues on our arrival and Maureen was very flexible and helpful, leaving some snacks for us and the fireplace all ready to go. The cottage is directly on the ring of Kerry, within walking distance of a pub and overall wonderful. The only thing thing that is a little goofy is that you need to have a bunch of change to heat and electrify the cottage as well as heat water for a shower, so it's a bit different....not a huge problem, but can be a hassle. Overall, wonderful time!
The best place to stay on the Ring of Kerry. Quaint with amazing ocean and mountain views. Lovely fireplace. Overall a great escape.
We arrived during a storm and the cottage was lovely and warm.
The views are amazing and I would definitely stay here again if I am back in the area.
We had no trouble finding the cottage, and Maureen was great when it came to communication and giving directions.
Maureen was great. She was there when I arrived and spent time explaining everything to me. She was also eager to give suggestions on places to hike and things to see. Beautiful cottage. Best B&B so far.
Maureen's gorgeous traditional thatched cottage was an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Ring of Kerry. Warm and cosy, yet spacious, the cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Duck eggs purchased from the neighbouring cottage upon Maureen's recommendation were a daily breakfast favourite! Tucked away yet easily accessible, we were able to easily park our car outside and felt safe and secure. Would recommend this lovely place to anyone looking to explore the beautiful surroundings in this part of the world.
One of the most magical places we have ever stayed. Right in front of the sea, with amazing views and the coziest inside. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, plenty of space and really nicely furbished. Ideal to scape from the crowds and enjoy the real deal that County Kerry has to offer!
Wow! The Ring of Kerry! Sooo beautiful! And this house is right on the Ring. Amazing thatched roof cottage, incredible sea views. This place is absolutely picturesque.
Ok, so the house itself. It's quaint and lovely. Maureen was at the house when we arrived, so check in was a breeze. She is a wonderful lady. We are so happy to have met her and would absolutely stay with her again. She is also an artist and was giving a painting class to a few ladies who were also staying there at that time. Next time we come to the Killarney area we will definitely stay with Maureen, but this time we want to take the painting classes too! Her work was incredible and i'm sure we could learn a lot from her.
Upon arrival, we had tea and cupcakes...and then the ladies from the painting group joined us and we just had the most wonderful conversations and laughs with them. Was a great experience to hang out with some really cool Irish women.
The next day we had fresh fruit salads and breads and tea...wasn't expected, but was a great treat!
Thanks again Maureen for the great experience!! So glad to have met you! Hope to see you again soon!
Great location, gorgeous house and Maureen was really helpful and easy to deal with.
We found this house was the perfect place for a getaway. Perched overlooking Dingle bay with the sun setting over the distant hills made for an inspiring stay. The house was great with the perfect mix of comfort and traditional style. We found the house to be a great place to be as we had barbecues overlooking the bay and also it is well situated as a base to see Kerry as the ring of Kerry runs right past the house. Maureen was a delight, very accommodating, friendly and easy to deal with.
Overall this was an excellent way to spend time in Kerry and one I will be doing again.
