This charming, sunny, wonderfully located, family-friendly beach house is located in the desirable, peaceful Wenaumet Bluffs/Pocasset River area. It's just a block from a sandy, private association beach that fronts on beautiful Buzzards Bay. It's a convenient base from which to explore all that Cape Cod and the Islands have to offer: biking, hiking, shopping, fishing, boating and dining. And it's also a perfect place to simply unwind and create new memories with your family and friends.

The space
This is a perfect home for a family vacation. It sleeps eight upstairs, and is just a short walk away from a private association beach, boating and other recreational activities.

The first floor features an open floor plan that brings people together. The large modern kitchen features granite countertops and a counter seating area; it's fully equipped with everything from oyster shucking knives to a wide variety of pots and pans. The adjacent dining area has a large table that can handle eight people comfortably. The living room includes a work-from home area and wall-mounted Smart TV featuring YouTube TV, Netflix and other premium streaming services. Living room seating includes a large couch and a facing futon. The futon provides additional flexibility for sleeping arrangements. A half-bath and laundry area complete the inside portion of the first floor.

The expansive outdoor wrapround porch adds considerably to the overall space. It has three distinct areas, each with ample seating: a centrally located area with comfy outdoor furniture; a secluded area with a table for those who need to work or enjoy some privacy; and a large open area with a table for basking in the sun and hosting evening dinners.

The second floor has four bedrooms plus a full bathroom with a shower stall. The diversity of the bedrooms allows for a flexible approach to sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom features a king sized bed with two large bureaus and a hanging closet. Two other bedrooms have queen beds, while the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. For safety, a lockable gate is provided at the top of the stairway.

The private outdoor shower on the ground floor provides a refreshing rinse-off after enjoying a swim in the ocean.

Guests are welcome to use inflatable beach toys, beach chairs, games, puzzles, books, and bikes.

Wenaumet Bluffs is a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood with great waterfront access. Its central location is ideal for exploring the Cape and Islands. From our house, you can ride a bicycle or run to Wing's Neck; go less than a mile to public tennis courts; kayak up the Pocasset River or into the protected waters of Toby's Island to see osprey and other wildlife; walk just a few hundred steps to the private association beach; and much more.

The private association beach features both a swimming dock and a freestanding swimming float, complete with a diving board a water slide. At the far end of the beach is a jetty that marks the entrance to the Pocasset River -- a great fishing spot.

Wenaumet Bluffs has a historic character and rich history, with many classic New England vacation homes that were built over 100 years ago. Because we are located on a street with no outlet, car traffic is minimal. Children on bikes, pet owners and power walkers enjoy the ability to go safely "around the block" that defines the neighborhood.

A few minutes away, you can find a small cafe, pizza place, convenience store, service station and grocery store. Numerous restaurants, attractions and shopping are available within 10-30 minutes. Nearby Falmouth functions as the hub for commercial activity on the Upper Cape.
