Apartment "The Yoke" is one of two apartments that make up my farm, a peaceful oasis in the center of the Tuscan countryside, just in Cortona.
The apartment is located at Torrino, just below the walls of the small and charming neighborhood, with a unique vision that embraces all of the surrounding vineyards up to the Lake Trasimeno.
This apartment can accommodate up to 6 people. There are two double rooms, of one double and one twin, but both can be made double or twin. In addition we have can the sofa bed in the living room.
Upon arrival guests will find everything for breakfast, as well as local products such as wine and oil, the oil is produced by us. You will always find home-made cakes and fresh products. The large kitchen and living area is ideal to ideal to cook, dine and spend the best moments.
In support of the beautiful house there is also a private swimming pool in which you can enjoy and relax during the day. The garden is huge and you can even bring your pets.
The apartment "The Yoke" has high ceilings with wooden beams and terracotta floor in the typical Tuscan style. During the renovation of the house we wanted to preserve all the characteristics of the typical Tuscan houses and we did it. Each of the two apartments is equipped with all facilities: microwave, dishwasher, oven, washing machine and all that is needed both in the kitchen in other rooms, including bed linen and towels.

Cortona is a town that has preserved all its characteristics: the walls, the medieval structure, types of products for small shops, restaurants and many art galleries that color the streets.
There are many paths to be done on foot or by bicycle, to live near the area, enjoy the typical food of Tuscany and discover the traditional local recipes.
Cortona is full of typical restaurants, but also fuson onesi, wine bars, wine shops and chocolate shops, local entertainment in the evenings and much more. It 's also very easy to reach major cities such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia and Umbria, but few kilometers away.
For shoppers, in Tuscany there are many designer outlets that is worth to visit in one day. The Valdichiana Outlet Village, for example, is very, very few kilometers and is accessible by car or public transportation in about 15 or 20 minutes maximum.
The bed linen and bath towels with weekly change is included in the price. Heating during the winter months is billed according to consumption (meter) while air conditioning is available on request with an additional charge..
A cot for children 0 to 3 years is provided at a cost of 5 euros per day, no supplement is required if it is brought by the client.
From April 15, 2012 there si the local tax of € 2 per night per person for the first 4 days.

May family stayed in the lower level apartment of this agriturismo in late June and we had a fantastic experience! We all agreed we wished that we had more time to stay here longer, as Cortona is a beautiful city to explore (with many nice restaurants), and the apartment is a great central location for visiting other cities if you have a car (Siena, Florence, etc). Rita was a fantastic hostess, the apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool was a great place to relax and it has a great view of the Tuscan countryside. If you decide to prepare your own meals, there is a grocery store (in Camucia) within 10 minutes drive.
The house was beautiful, the pool was amazing.
My family (5 adults) rented the ground level apartment at Il Torrino for ten days to use as our base to explore Tuscany, and we're very glad we did. The location is great (very close to Cortona and Camucia), with easy access to buses and the train station. Our hosts, Rita and Alessandro, were incredibly warm, generous, and helpful, picking us up at the train station upon arrival, and dropping us there again on departure day, with a couple of other trips in between (we didn't have a car). We were thrilled to receive a welcome basket on our first morning filled with lots of lovely treats, including a delicious apricot tart and plum jam made by Rita, from fruit picked in her garden.
The house is very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, and the pool is fabulous. The views are amazing, with the valley and town of Camucia below the house, and Cortona perched on the mountainside above.
The bus stop is 3 minute walk away, close to the bottom of the driveway. It's a 7 minute bus ride up the hill to Cortona, and about the equivalent to the train station in Camucia.
We would love to have spent more time relaxing at the villa, but with so much to see in the area, we were kept very busy. The time we did spend there was blissful. We would definitely go back.
We loved staying at Rita's property. The pool was wonderful to come home to after a day out and so was Rita's great baking. The house was so handy to Cortona - outside the city wall but still with a lovely view down to the plain below and other villages. It was also handy to supermarkets in Camucia. We visited Sienna, Florence (by train), Montepulcciano etc it was very convenient. Rita and Alessandro kept the property beautifully.
Nice apartment. Very friendly hosts!
Not in cortona proper, but our hosts took us to the market & waited while we shopped.
