Darmada is a nice place to stay ! Very quiet with a beautiful garden ! I recommand you to stay there if you need to rest in a nice environment
Quiet place in Sidemen with a river floating right next to your bedroom. Beautifully furnished, unfortunately a bit musty. Very friendly staff and a good spot for activities like hiking. The compound and the garden are very beautiful and a good place to relax.
No doubt the best place in Bali. I decided to stay there 2 night since I saw the reviews and it was the best decision. It is a gem in the middle of Bali. A total paradise.
The best? not sure....the host, so friendly and always willing to help. Or maybe the noise of the river at night, or the friendly people in the town.
I totally recommend this place. I wish you all the best since you deserve it.
Wayan's Guesthouse is a very beautiful and special place to stay. The rooms are integrated into nature and you hear the calming sound of the river when you go to bed. Everything is very clean and tastefully arranged. Wayan is a very good host and he and his staff take good care of their guests. The atmosphere is very positive and welcoming. The area is perfect for hiking in the nature, discovering original villages and getting in touch with local people.
I travelled with a friend of mine and we both loved to stay at the B&B! It's a wonderful, lovely and calm place, perfect to relax and enjoy a little bit of the typical Balinesian life. We make sure to come back!
Wayan and Barbara have built something special in the glorious Sidemen Valley. This brand new facility is beautifully designed with a spring fed pool and a wonderful restaurant and rooms that are as open to the elements as you want them to be. They are naturally cooled by the rush of air coming from the creek that flows outside the rooms, and there are no mosquitoes, though mosquito nets are provided. You can relax there or you can go pretty much anywhere on a day trip: Ubud, Padangbai, Tenganan, Tirta Gangga etc.
Not only have Wayan and Barbara built a really beautiful place for travelers to relax but they have a larger vision for Darmada as a place to help local children with a wider view of the world and their possibilities. Take time to talk to Wayan. He is a very interesting and amusing person, full of ideas about the future of Darmada, Bali and the world!
What a gorgeous place! My boyfriend and I only stayed at Darmada for one night and another half day, but loved every minute. The B&B is an absolute oasis of calm and beauty with wonderful people, amazing food, and a stunning landscape. We would absolutely want to stay here again (and for a good bit longer) if we have the chance to come back to Bali. If you love nature, hiking, delicious food, and want to be away from the hectic tourist traps of the South, stay here! Thank you for a wonderful, albeit far too short, experience!
