We had a great time and would love to come back. A lovely and calm place Right next to the beach.
We had a great day in Ardyns home. Unfortunately we did not meet her, but she send her neigbour to ask if we need something. She called us a taxi for the next morning and even offered us a drive to the next restaurant, which is only a ten minutes walk away. We loved this open house and the pool. If we had the time, we would have stayed longer. Holloways Beach is also a nice village with a few restaurants.
Wow - just wow, where to begin? Ardyn's amazing: friendly, thoughtful, dynamic, and delightful. She was the most perfect hostess, inviting me for dinner, coffee, and breakfast; taking a walk down the beach together, and sharing stories about her beautiful family. Her home is gleaming with photos and memorabilia from her international travels, and lovingly surrounded by her beautiful flowers, plants, and gardens. What a treat to have stayed in such an eclectic, brilliant place. I was grinning from ear to ear the entire time - fabulous company, great hospitality, and a perfect way to spend a special evening with a new found friend
Ardyn was a great host. She was helpful by planning our day and had good ideas. The room with balcony was beautiful and equipped with moscito net. At the veranda with the pool there is enough space to relax. At the beach you can swim in a separate safe area and there is also a Café.
Very high recommended.
We enjoyed are stay at Ardyn's home in Holloways Beach. The atmosphere of her home is perfect for those who want a beach vacation. It was relaxing there, and there are plenty of interesting things from Ardyn's travels around the house. It is also right next to a beautiful beach. We also had a lovely time chatting with Ardyn and learning about her adventures and experiences and work with Aborigines. It was lovely to wake up, have a cup of coffee and sit on her porch to look at the flora and fauna. As this was our first time in the tropics, it was also a joy to see starfruit and coconuts growing in her garden and to see the adorable green tree frogs who stopped by for a visit. Thank you Ardyn!
About the Host, Ardyn
I like meeting people from different parts of the world as I have done extensive travel in my life off the beaten track.
I like to share my relaxed living space while I am in Cairns, this is such a beautiful part of the world to live especially in winter!
I am a self taught artist, trained Montessori teacher. I do NES health assessment, healing work and massage. I enjoy singing and playing guitar. I like to think people can feel free to be themselves here and express their individuality, as long as it does not impose upon others.
I couldn't live without dancing, my garden, Poppet dog, my sketch book, my friends or yoga on the beach in the morning.
I have a small dog Poppet who loves everyone, and FouFou the cat who come to the beach for walks (not the cat always).
