Nossa experiência em Veneza foi ótima! O apartamento é exatamente como encontramos no anúncio do Alessandro. Estava tudo limpo e organizado.
Alessandro and the apartment were perfect. He met us close to the rail station and guided us to the apartment. The location was 7 minutes from the train station and very comfortable for my family and I. He spent 20 minutes giving us insights into Venice that we used. We'll be back and expect that we would stay here again.
Fantastic. Very spacious and comfortable apartment in an awesome location so close to Campo Santa Margherita and Campo San Barnaba. Pasticceria downstairs, deli next door, great restaurants nearby.
We had no problems with the apartment at all.
Alessandro was a fantastic host, meeting us at the train station, recommending restaurants, booking us a taxi boat to the airport. But most of all he took the time to share his thoughts about how to best experience and enjoy Venice: no map, enjoy getting lost. I strongly recommend taking his advice, and this is a great base from which to explore Venice - close enough to everything but far enough away from the crazy crowds.
We would stay here again without hesitation.
This apartment was perfect for our family of four. It was really lovely to have a "home" in Venice. We particularly enjoyed hanging out our washing like the locals and being able to cook at home following a visit to the supermarket nearby.
Alessandro met us near the train station and guided us to the apartment on foot. He then spent some time advising us on how to enjoy and experience Venice. We followed all of his advice and had a wonderful time!
We loved buying our breakfast from the bakery downstairs each morning. We ate at one of the cafes recommended by Alessandro in Campo San Barnaba and it was very good. On our final night we went to a nearby cafe (Impromptu) which was also excellent. There's a little shop near the bakery where we bought our wine and other provisions. A delightful man runs the place.
We all enjoyed having wireless connection after sporadic connection elsewhere. The beds were comfortable and lots of towels were supplied. We enjoyed being so close to the San Toma vaporetto stop.
Thank you Alessandro for your kindness and generosity.
We had a great time in Venice, and Alessandro is a great host, responsive and helpful. He met us to take us to the apt, he's full of information about the area, and charming. There were good and bad sides to the apartment, but most of all, it didn't stop us from having a good time.
You couldnt ask for a better location, you have so much on the doorstep and it's located in a much less touristy area than other places. It's cheap compared to lots of other apartments. It's large. We were a party of five and it accommodated us very well (the kitchen is on the small side, but totally fine and you'll be eating out all the time).
Tonolo, directly below, is a fantastic patisserie, where you can stand and have coffee and a breakfast pastry with venetians before they start their day- was so buzzy at 9am.
The downsides - be warned showers were a dribble (although Alessandro did say that Venice has a problem with water pressure - so this could be a problem all over). This means that only one shower should be operational at one time - which Alessandro advised. One other thing to be aware of, although the apartment is in a great location and it's also opposite a very lively bar. Which was only a minor problem on Friday night and it died down around 1am - all the other evenings the windows kept out the noise.
I'm pretty certain that the apartment is run professionally as a let, which is fine, but it isn't someones day-to-day home, if you're looking for that experience. The main issue was that it wasn't as clean as it should be and needs a real deep clean, there were dead wood lice, a very sticky patch on the floor, dust in all the corners and bath mats weren't fully cleaned.
If you want somewhere cheap, in a great location, and don't mind too much about a really clean place then this apt is fine. And if you do go for it, you'll have lots on your doorstep:
Tonolo for breakfast (even though you can't sit), La Bitta definitely the best choice of restaurant close by, red caffe on Santa Margarita for cheap spritz and fine gelato at Grom on San Barnaba.
I was born in Venice and grown... in Venice... (to be honest, i studied math in Ferrara). I love reading, sports - i play basket- music, and i adore sailing. I'd try to describe my self but probably its for you to say.
