Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
This is a 1969 school bus lovingly converted into a tiny guest house in a whimsical garden space.
We are located in a rural residential area near Sooke BC, just off the Galloping Goose Trail. (Km37)
Surrounded by stunning beaches, pristine forest and coastal hikes, refreshing lakes and rivers, wildlife and natural beauty galore. A 30 minute drive from Victoria, or approximately 3 hour bike ride if you’re feeling adventurous.

The space
What was once the school bus for Courtney BC has been gutted and meticulously restored into a unique space with a retro flare using many reclaimed and salvaged components.

There are lots of features packed into this short bus- a super comfy queen size bed, room darkening curtains, a kitchenette, a propane fireplace heater, stand up shower, a penny counter-top work space and a cute sitting area. The attached bathroom is an outhouse fit for a queen (but not a princess!) complete with composting toilet, sink with hot running water and even a chandelier that I found at the side of the road.

Prepare for an old school experience. There’s no wifi inside the bus, but there is cell reception- so call your mother! You’ll also find board games, cards, books and maps of local areas, art supplies and good, old fashioned postcards and letter writing supplies.

The outdoor space includes a covered deck with seating, a propane BBQ, a hammock in the trees and a private fire pit area with Adirondack chairs.
Lovely gardens and tall trees surround the whole area.

The kitchenette includes a bar fridge, a small 2 burner propane stove, kettle and toaster. You’ll be stocked up with black, green and herbal teas, pour over coffee set up, sugar/honey, spices, oil and vinegar. All of the necessary pots/pans/ plates/ cutlery and cups. Plus an outdoor bbq and the accessories to use it.

The fridge will be stocked with a small container of milk for tea/coffee and eggs from my chickens. Also ketchup and mustard.

LGBTQ Folks are very welcome here.

Well behaved, small, hypoallergenic dogs will be considered- inquire ahead.

Guest access
There are 2 unique guest spaces located on the property: the old school bus, and the time machine. Each is private and separate from each other.
There is also an area at the top of the driveway labelled the locker room that is packed full of surprises for guests of both rentals to borrow and enjoy. There are bikes to explore the galloping goose and nearby beaches, a mini library, games, beach toys and so much more! Don't forget to bring your quarters for the gumball machine!

Other things to note
Things to note:
-If you're much taller than 5"10 you'll have to stoop!
-No Wi-Fi inside the bus but if you really need to update your MySpace profile you can pick up a signal from the porch or the driveway.
-Outhouse with composting toilet
