The space
Quaint rustic log cabin with 2 queen beds, a couch, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. Wraparound porch, charcoal grill, hammock, and firepit. Relax to the sounds of the Creek that runs in front and beside the cabin.
The entire 10-acre property has Highspeed Wireless internet, perfect if you're looking to work remotely. There are 4 other cabins on the property that can be rented as well.
Highlands Hideaways has direct access to Grayson Highlands State Park via the trailhead across the river. Following Wilson Creek, you will see cascading waterfalls less than half a mile up the trail.
The Community Arcade located next to Rumples Retreat is available to all guests at Highland Hideaways. Bring quarters! The arcade features 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Multi-cades, a claw machine, karaoke, Darts, Retro Jukebox, and an Air-Hockey Table.
The Private Drive-in theater is located behind the Arcade, with enough room for 1 vehicle. Drive-in made easy, with a single button press to start the screening.
We have a 3 hole glow in dark disc golf course (see photos) that spans the property, the glowing baskets and glow in the dark discs make playing at night a blast!
The vending machine is stocked with a variety of drinks, as well as a snack vending machine, in case you get hungry late at night.
Streaming Service including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney Plus, with a large selection of DVD and VHS movies as backup.
Smart speakers are located through the cabin and arcade to play music.
Enjoy our ever growing selection of puzzles, cards, and board games from our game shelf.
Fresh linens, toilet paper, towels, and shampoo/soap are provided free of charge.
Small washer & and dryer with soap provided for extended stays.

Allergy Alert! : We are pet friendly, that being said dog hair may be found even after extensive cleaning. We wash and dry everything after every stay but even then some pet hair even a lint brush wont remove. Please plan accordingly.

Other things to note
If you have any allergies to scented laundry detergent, please let us know before your stay so that we can accommodate you. We use scented detergent on the laundry, but we have unscented as well.
*We keep cleaning costs low by asking guests to do a few things to help out our cleaners.

Hello, my name is Josh Brunelle. We started Highland Hideaways in 2021 and have grown to 5 rentals. We welcome you to share our vacation homes, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Highland Hideaways has been a labor of love! I enjoy rebuilding the arcades, renovating the old houses, and rejuvenating the area with something nice. Wether it's your first time or 100th I always want the experience to be changing for the better.
