WELCOME TO KOKOPELLI STUDIO!
"Kokopelli" is a guest studio perched on the edge of a canyon surrounded by the finest views that Sedona has to offer. The views are so outstanding they will literally take your breath away.
From your own private deck you will see the full panorama of red rocks including Cathedral Rock [ the second most photographed monument outside of the Grand Canyon], Seven Sisters, The mongolian Rim and right next to the studio is the
beautiful Pyramid Rock.
The natural light from morning to night will reveal the most amazing colors and beauty of these natural stunning rock formations which you can view 24/ 7 through the large glass sliding doors leading on to the studio deck.
This self contained guest studio with its own private enterance has a california king sized bed with a comfortable brand new memory foam mattress. You will definately get wonderful deep sleeps here!.
On the deck itself there is a large gazebo with curtains that enclose the structure for total cosiness and (website hidden) is like having your own outdoor living room. There is also a hammock and papason chairs with large fluffy cushions - the perfect place to read and relax.
You will enjoy sitting on the deck even during the rainy season and not get wet at all whilst being able to watch the changing colors of the skies and mountains.
The studio has a bathroom and custom red rock shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer, dryer, dish washer,
fridge. There is not a full sized stove but rather a 3 unit burner top for cooking and a counter top baking/toasting unit.
The guest home is perfect for 1 or 2 people that want a retreat surrounded by rural scenes and panoramic views in a quiet , tranquil neighbourhood with easy access to town.
This is a unique place to stay in sedona because of it's peaceful, quiet location and it's views.
Town is about 10 to 15 minutes drive away so you would definately need a car to stay at this (email hidden)w Frontiers, safeway and Basha's grocery stores are easily accessible in town. There are also wonderful hiking trails in this area.
We are located just a few minutes drive to The National Red Rock State park and Red Rock crossing.
This guest studio is situated next to our main large house but is completely self contained. It is often rented as a 4th bedroom for larger guest groups using the main house .But when JUST the main house is rented- kokopelli studio can be rented seperately. However, when the main house is occupied the hotspa cannot be used for privacy reasons.
Please check out the new photographs that airbnb took recently.
I have also posted photo's of many wonderful and exciting adventures and places to go in sedona and in the local area.
Interaction with Guests
Some guests like a lot of interaction and some like total privacy - i tend to go with the flow and take the lead from the guests.
This is a quiet, tranquil neighborhood in the panoramic region of sedona. Here you will experience nature's marvel's- brilliant sunsets, sunrises and unobstructed views of cathedral rock,
moglian rim, Pyramid and 7 sisters rocks.
Located in the zero light zone, you will enjoy shiny bright stars at night and the sounds of crickets.
We are located as close as you can get to the Red Rock National State park which is a stunning area of natural awesome beauty. There is no public transport from this area. By car you can get to town in 10 minutes.
A car is an absolute must .
This guest studio is in a quiet neighborhood and therefore it is a good selection for a quiet retreat type (email hidden)rfect for those that want to rest, relax, read, hike and star gaze.
We have a simple house rule leaflet in the guest studio.
Rachel was great with communications and responded promptly to questions. The unit was clean, well decorated/equipped, and had a great location. We especially loved the hammock/patio area and the large bed!
If you are looking for an affordable, clean and convenient place to stay the studio is a great option. If your looking for more than a place to sleep I would look elsewhere.
Clean and spacious.
Easy to get to and easy to reserve.
The bathroom is fully stocked
Unit has a laundry machine and dryer
After a 6 hour drive from New Mexico, arriving at 5pm (check in time), all we wanted to do was sit on the deck and enjoy the views and sunset with a bottle of wine. After showering, 20 minutes before sunset, we found that there was no bottle opener. Personally, I enjoy staying at Airbnb homes so that I can enjoy the comforts of home while traveling and cook my meals rather than eating out. I was aware that there was only a hot plate to cook on but I wasn’t expecting there to be one tiny pot and skillet. I had to boil pasta in batches.
Internet- was not working when we arrived. My husband works while traveling so its very important for us to have email access. I emailed Rachel and was told to knock on the main house doors to have them reset the router they were not home so I asked her to send them an email. I woke up the next morning with a new password slipped under my door. If this is what they call internet they might as well not have any at all, you can’t even access email. Rachel never bothered messaging to see if the situation was resolved.
The views are beautiful but not quite as depicted on airbnb- unless you zoom in and crop out the houses nearby.
All of these cons are easily resolvable by the host and hopefully the next guests will have a better experience than we did.
Rachel was very timely& attentive in all communications. The spectacular view of the Red Rocks was just as she described. The neighborhood was peaceful and serene. Proximity to town is very easy also Very close to Red Rock State Park. The apartment was clean & cozy with many comfort amenities including a washer and dryer and supplies! The bed is comfy! The sunrise- priceless!! There is no closet space to hang clothes. We had to use the curtain rack. There is a desk but no table or chairs so any eating in had to be done by sitting on the floor. We recommend this be modified.
Hi laure, there is a place to hang clothes in the first cupboard- maybe you missed it.I am so sorry about chairs- sometimes the house and studio get booked by the same family and chairs get moved into main house. There should have been 2 chairs inside and 2 big papasson chairs outside on deck. The studio is only supposed to be for 2 guests and i know with the extra family member space would have been limited .
I am happy you had a nice stay.
Rachel's place was easy to find. We arrived at sunset and the view bowled us over, it's incredible. The studio is spacious and clean, small fridge and freezer space though. We loved chilling on the comfy chairs taking in the awesome and peaceful surrounds.
Stayed over a weekend at this place for my husband's birthday. Rachel offered to upgrade us to the house if we paid the cleaning fee since it was available. My husband was thrilled with the majestic view of Oak Creek and the luxurious spaces and commodities inside the house. This is definitely the place to go for special celebrations, weekend getaways or if you just simply want to connect to nature. Thank you Rachel for all your help!
We actually ended up staying at the main house for the weekend and it was AMAZING!!! The views from the huge windows and outside deck were breathtaking, the stars at night (in the low-light requirements of Sedona) were awe inspiring, and the access to everything that Sedona has to offer (which is a lot) was soooo easy.
The house itself is at once cozy and expansive, although we spent most of the time there on the back deck which has a table for meals and entertaining, and comfy seating for star gazing. Since there was just the two of us we Goldilocksed the beds and found the upstairs king bed to be decadent and cozy, but we preferred the downstairs queen (king?) bed since it was memory foam and deliciously comfy. And the kitchen is AWESOME! We were supposed to meet some friends from Flagstaff out for dinner but once we saw those digs we invited them over and they were in awe... saying "tell us more about this AirBnB!"
And Rachel, even though half way across the world, was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for the perfect anniversary weekend! Thanks, Rachel!!!
Kokopelli Studio has a beautiful view! Everything was pretty much as Rachel said it would be. Upon arrival, the room had not been cleaned after the last guest. Rachel quickly responded and sent out a person to clean immediately while we went to dinner. Rachel also gave us $22 back which we spent on a flight of beers at a local Brewery. I would definitely recommend this place for a weekend visit.
