WELCOME TO KOKOPELLI STUDIO!

"Kokopelli" is a guest studio perched on the edge of a canyon surrounded by the finest views that Sedona has to offer. The views are so outstanding they will literally take your breath away.

From your own private deck you will see the full panorama of red rocks including Cathedral Rock [ the second most photographed monument outside of the Grand Canyon], Seven Sisters, The mongolian Rim and right next to the studio is the
beautiful Pyramid Rock.

The natural light from morning to night will reveal the most amazing colors and beauty of these natural stunning rock formations which you can view 24/ 7 through the large glass sliding doors leading on to the studio deck.

This self contained guest studio with its own private enterance has a california king sized bed with a comfortable brand new memory foam mattress. You will definately get wonderful deep sleeps here!.

On the deck itself there is a large gazebo with curtains that enclose the structure for total cosiness and (website hidden) is like having your own outdoor living room. There is also a hammock and papason chairs with large fluffy cushions - the perfect place to read and relax.

You will enjoy sitting on the deck even during the rainy season and not get wet at all whilst being able to watch the changing colors of the skies and mountains.

The studio has a bathroom and custom red rock shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer, dryer, dish washer,
fridge. There is not a full sized stove but rather a 3 unit burner top for cooking and a counter top baking/toasting unit.

The guest home is perfect for 1 or 2 people that want a retreat surrounded by rural scenes and panoramic views in a quiet , tranquil neighbourhood with easy access to town.

This is a unique place to stay in sedona because of it's peaceful, quiet location and it's views.

Town is about 10 to 15 minutes drive away so you would definately need a car to stay at this (email hidden)w Frontiers, safeway and Basha's grocery stores are easily accessible in town. There are also wonderful hiking trails in this area.

We are located just a few minutes drive to The National Red Rock State park and Red Rock crossing.

This guest studio is situated next to our main large house but is completely self contained. It is often rented as a 4th bedroom for larger guest groups using the main house .But when JUST the main house is rented- kokopelli studio can be rented seperately. However, when the main house is occupied the hotspa cannot be used for privacy reasons.

Please check out the new photographs that airbnb took recently.
I have also posted photo's of many wonderful and exciting adventures and places to go in sedona and in the local area.

  • The location of the studio was amazing, and I loved sitting out on the balcony taking in the scenery. Driving to town from the house wasn't too bad at all. However, I couldn't sleep at all the two nights we were there. The mattress and pillows were too flat and hard for my personal preference, even with the provided pillowed blanket. Sedona was very beautiful though, and the lack of sleep didn't impact our enjoyment of the town. I'm just noting it in case any other fragile sleepers out there want to pack some extra squishy blankets and pillows.

The neighborhood frightened us at first because the road turns into a rocky path to get to the house with a very steep driveway, with us driving a small sports car, but it's a lot easier to drive on and get to the house than it looks.

  • Let me first say that Sedona is beautiful, and this room has a beautiful view! Other than that, I didn't have the best experience here. Rachel wasn't there for check-in due to checking in another listing, which I don't mind at all, but she failed to let me know that the bathroom electricity wasn't working. There was an extension chord running through the bathroom door, making sure there was no way you could close it, and a only a workers clamp light for seeing what your doing. There were a few other things that weren't that big of a deal, but when you add it all up, and take into account the price, the "cleaning fee", and the fact that they require you to basically clean the place yourself, it all was just irritating. And Rachel wasn't really any help. I emailed her when I found these things, but it was just kind of a deal-with-it situation. Not that I expected her to come fix it, but I did expect an apology at the subpar conditions of the apartment, or maybe even a refund on the cleaning fee, just something. What good is a beautiful stone shower if the lights don't work and the shower pressure is zero. They have a copious amount of house rules for the renter, yet they don't live up the their end of the bargain. Even when I told Rachel about there being no detergent (because they require you to wash the towels before you leave) she just said I needed to buy some more.
I've stayed in so many wonderful airbnb's; this was my first bummer, which is a pity because Sedona is great.
The price of this listing makes it seem like a luxury apartment, and it could be if the property managers took the least bit of care to make it so. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

  • Rachel's studio in Sedona was perfect. It was quaint and quiet, situated just off the main house with beautiful views just as shown in the pictures. Even though the main house was occupied during our stay, I felt that our balcony and unit were very private, as Rachel indicated it would be. It's about a 10 minute drive from Downtown Sedona and very easy to get to from either direction. It's also just over a mile from Red Rock State Park, which we very much enjoyed. The price was also very reasonable for the location. And Rachel was very easy to access via the site or by mobile. I was absolutely stay again on my next trip to Sedona.

  • There's nothing quite like pulling back the curtains to the deck in the morning and seeing that view of the red rocks from Kokopelli Studio. And although there's no stovetop (only a double hot plate and microwave), we were able to cook many enjoyable meals here. My husband and I were quite comfortable and appreciated the privacy of the neighborhood and its proximity to Oak Creek/Crescent Moon trail. Rachel was completely accessible by e-mail and gave clear directions and guidelines for our stay.

  • The studio was exactly what you see on the web site- cute, relaxing, with amazing views from a private deck. Rachel and Alex were very nice to work with - I would stay there again.

  • Nice views, quiet country location, close to trails, listening to the coyotes at night was fun. The studio really needs updating for this price range, kitchen was inadequate for daily cooking, door was broken on our arrival, garbage can remained overflowing during our stay. But the location and quiet made it worthwhile.

  • What a beautiful month I spent in the high desert of Sedona. If you are looking for an opportunity to commune with nature this is the place. I was able to comfortably observe the undisturbed natural beauty of red rock country with amazing rock formations in all directions. The studio is small but everything you will need is available. For me one of the real delights was the nearby Red Rock State Park with wonderful hiking possibilities, guided nature walks and amazing bird watching. Enjoyed my stay a lot. Rachel was extremely cooperative with the odd problem that popped up now and then.

  • We were just passing through for a day and stayed at Rachel's studio. It was the perfect place to regroup on our road trip. The views from the studio are amazing, and it was convenient to have the kitchen. Will definiltey stay there again when I'm back in Sedona. Thank you!

  • Staying at Rachel’s AirBnB was one of the highlights of our holiday. We initially were booked into the ‘Kokopelli studio’, which was very lovely, light, airy with beautiful views of the Sedona mountains. We ended being upgraded to the 3 bedroom luxury home, also with breathtaking views. However, the studio was spacious, open, cozy beautifully decorated with well-stocked kitchen and a lovely bathroom. It was a plus having an outdoors Hot Tub/Jacuzzi where we spent lots of time looking out onto Cathedral Rock and at nite gazing dreamily at the stars. The house is only 10-15 mins drive to the Sedona town center and only 5 mins up the road from Red Rock State Park Crossing/Cathedral Rock. A book is kept at the studio with great recommendations of restaurants, shops, sightseeing, etc. Although Rachel was out of the country at the time, she was a great host and responded back very quickly. Overall, our stay was perfect in every way and we look forward to staying there again when back in the US.

  • Our stay at Rachel's studio was perfect! Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Rachel, we had no trouble finding our way to the studio and inside even in the late-night dark. We found everything exactly as pictured - all of the basic kitchen amenities, a stunning view toward Red Rock State Park, a very comfortable bed, and a seemingly endless supply of towels. We could have utilized a few extra blankets as it was quite chilly, but the heat worked well enough to keep the space warm and comfrotable.

We did not use the hot tub during our visit, but it seemed like the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking. No one was staying in the house during our visit, and the location was perfectly peaceful and isolated while just a 10-15 minute drive from Sedona attractions. We would definitely return to this location and enthusiastically recommend it to those considering a stay here!
