Situated in an ancient ‘Maison Vigneron’, this stylish and tranquil house is located on the edge of a ramparted village. With stunning views over the vines and the garrigue, it is the ideal spot to escape and recharge your batteries or, should the urge take you, to use as a base for discovering the hidden charms of this beautiful region of France.
Comfortable and relaxed, the 6 bedrooms all contribute to the restful qualities of this perfect home from home. Each with a spacious bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning, guests have been known to sleep until midday and beyond! You will be accommodated in 5 double rooms and one twin bedded room although 2 additional children's beds can be placed in some of the rooms.
You are invited to make full use of the large landscaped garden with its covered terrace and private swimming pool. Free loan of bicycles for local exploring.
Your hosts will welcome you whole heartedly and help you to explore in a manner that best suits you.
Easy to visit Cathar country, Mediterranean and beaches, La Cite of Carcassonne and the World Heritage site of the Canal du Midi.
In the middle of nowhere but central to everything!
24 excellent restaurants within 20 minutes, 100s of vinyards and a wealth of activities such as sunbathing, swimming, diving, horseback riding, canoeing, paragliding, sailing, walking, climbing, white water rafting, visit chateaux/abbey/beach. You name it, we can point you in the right direction!
The house is yours. Come and make yourself comfortable in the tranquil village. In the area you have so many different activities available that you can make yourself very busy, or nip down to Spain for lunch, up to Nimes for the Pont du Gard or up into the Pyrenees for some hill walking. We have 4 bicycles available to let you potter around the area and can arrange rental of more serious bikes if that takes your fancy.
Interaction with Guests
We will meet you on arrival (after 4:00 p.m.) and give you a full tour of the facilities. After that, if you need us or just want to chat, you can give us a quick ring and we will be with you.
This is the hidden France, quiet and rural with a wealth of history. You are tucked away in a typical small Languedocienne village, but never far from all sorts of sights, activities or beaches.
Come and discover the hidden Cathar country.
To really enjoy this area, you need your own transport. As a small village, there is a twice daily bus service to Narbonne on weekdays, but no other public transport. Many people enjoy the quiet roads for some cycling, or the peaceful trails for walking.

Satellite TV is available with BBC, ITV and a variety of multi-language channels.
We don't have too many rules, we prefer that you feel at home.
Arrival time is 4:00 p.m. and departure before 10:00 a.m.
Sheets and towels provided and we also have pool towels. If you need things for the beach, please bring your own.
No pets nor smoking indoors please.
We go to a lot of effort to make the house clean and tidy for you, but we only have 6 hours before our next guests arrive. We would much appreciate it if you could please tidy the place before you leave.
