Welcome to wonderful Amsterdam! A home away from home awaits you.
Our three level, traditional Dutch canal house is situated in the Jordaan on a lovely and quiet canal, close to the main attractions, but also immersed in local Amsterdam life.
The apartment is spacious and bright (95sqm), with dual aspect and sun all day from either the back or the front. All of the floors have nice views of the canal and neighbourhood.
The second floor (entry) features a luxury kitchen with a top range oven and stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and all the cookware you might need, as well as washer and dryer. An open dining area connects, with a lovely view on the canal. In addition, there is a full bathroom/wet room.
The third floor has two open living spaces, with a king sofa bed and a full bathroom with bath. There is flat screen TV, countless DVDs, a stereo and lots of books available for your entertainment (plus a desk if you really need to get work done!).
The top floor is a spacious, private bedroom with a king size bed on hand made raised platform. Off this, there is a large balcony with tables and chairs, overlooking the rooftops of Amsterdam. Step out to enjoy a glass of wine, meal or just a little relaxation and fresh air.
The house is in a desirable location, only a quick stroll (or quicker bike ride!) to top attractions, such as the Anne Frank house and the '9 streets' for shopping. Or, for a feel of local life, food and treats, the lively Saturday market at Noordermarkt is only 2 minutes walk. In addition, the house is very near some of Amsterdam's best restaurants, bars and nightlife, beautiful parks and outdoor spaces.
We are happy to help with restaurant and travel recommendations for the area and have several books on Amsterdam and Europe available for your use.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
We live in a quiet, residential area and our neighbors will appreciate noise control. No parties, smoking or drugs permitted within the home. We also hope that guests report any issues with their stay, including broken items or items that need repair.
Just back from an awesome weekend in Amsterdam. This place was fun, quirky, modern, clean and warm. Couldn't of asked for anything more. Absolutely loved it here. Could of moved in! Would definitely recommend and hope to come back sometime soon! Really accommodating (especially as we were late arriving -my fault!!) love love loved it. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. ❤️❤️❤️
We have just returned from spending 3 nights in Misti's Amsterdam home. We loved our time in Amsterdam. The apartment was in a great location to explore the city. It was finished beautifully, and my daughters enjoyed being able to come home at the end of the day and have a great choice of videos to watch.
My husband and I loved having the Saturday market just around the corner for fresh fruit, veg, flowers, cheese, bread etc etc... And an antique/ bric a brac market within a 5 minute walk on Saturday and Monday. We found lots of really nice cafés at the end of the market street, and there were really nice places to eat at night also within a 5-10 minute stroll. We walked everywhere... Anne Frank house, Rijk museum, ice skating in museum square, central station, 9 streets shopping. Matthije was very nice, and very accommodating with allowing us a late checkout for our late flight back to Australia. We loved our time at Misti's and made great family memories. I would definitely recommend this apartment for your Amsterdam holiday.
Beautiful, well-equipped apartment. Exactly as pictured. Great location, with excellent restaurants and bars nearby. Stairs are a bit steep, but typical of Amsterdam. :) Loved our stay.
We had a great time in Amsterdam. Misti's apartment was nice and clean. Although Misti couldn't be there she made sure someone was there to welcome and show us the installations! Even though Misti did tell us about the stairs, just make sure you are able to handle your luggage in order to reach Misti's apartment.
Best airbnb trip ever! The canal house is spectacular. Clean. Cute. Comfy. And spacious!!! It is in the best location and it has everything you could need. We all loved it. We will be back. Thanks so much to Misti and her team. We love Amsterdam.
Communication with Misti was great! She answered all of my emails quickly and was extremely accomodating with our very early arrival into Amsterdam. Mattijis was there when we arrived to show us around the apartment and even gave us a bottle of wine. The location is perfect - right on the canal and within walking distance of all the must see places in the city. If walking is difficult, there is a tram station near by where you can catch a tram to the Museum district or some of the big highlights of the city. We were a group of four staying in the apartment and it was comfortable for us as we are family, however I would caution traveling with others who you might not be close with as there is little privacy because there are no doors and the walls are very thin. Though it was fine for us and we loved having two bathrooms. It is a very cool apartment that is well decorated and has all of the conveniences we needed. The washer and dryer worked really well and were helpful to have even for the four short days we were there. We loved sitting around the beautiful dining table each nite and planning out the rest of our days. As other have mentioned, it is suggested to pack light as the stairs are very narrow and hard to manage with heavy luggage. Even just moving throughout the apartment requires going up and down the narrow steep stairs several times a day. However, I am six months pregnant and had no issues with it. Just take it slow! I would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again. Misti was a most gracious host and we had a wonderful time in Amsterdam!
