About this listing
Welcome! We invite you to log off and disconnect in our peaceful home situated in the heart of a historic, partially-gated neighborhood called Wellington Square. A second and third bedroom called "Aloha" and "Ohana" are available for larger groups.
Our gorgeous Spanish Revival house was built in 1922 and showcases original mahogany woodwork, lighting and Batchelder tiled fireplace, and original tiled bathroom. Our picturesque home has been featured in a commercial in Japan.
This listing is for one huge bedroom (350 sq. ft.) for up to four (4) people. We've nicknamed this space "Mahalo". There is a couch, queen-sized bed, and an extra queen futon mattress as needed. We also have other bedrooms "Aloha" and "Ohana" available in the same house. Or if you prefer your own private house, we offer the three bedroom Japanese Retreat "Tatami House" (photo shown above). I enjoy staying at Mark and Chay's home whenever I visit LA. It is a very convenient place to stay. The room is comfortable and spacious, and I always get a good night's rest.
I felt the cleanliness of the room is great, and the detail instructions (where the keys are present, attractions in LA, wifi info) for the guest helps to guide themselves in the home.
Please give a clear detailing of the listing, we were unaware that we should share our toilet with other guests, we are unable to use the shower at late nights because it is disturbing the sleep of the other guests staying in the next two rooms, which are very close. You have mentioned that their are two bathrooms, please change that to one, that would help new guests to have a clear understanding on the home that you are letting out.
This was a great first airbnb experience. We unfortunately didn't get to see Mark and Chomchay, who live in a different part of the city. But we were warmly greeted by Abby, the housekeeper, and Quentin, a fellow guest.
The house is situated in a good, quiet area of LA and is very central, making it easy to explore all the different parts of the city. The room (Malaho) offers enough space and there are also enough common parts in the house to accommodate all the guests. Kitchen has everything you need. Thanks to Abby, the house is always "spik & span", i.e. very clean! We very much enjoyed the interactions we had with her. She's a wonderful person and a great "asset" for the place!
All in all, we can highly recommend this place!
Nice welcome in this nice house. Very convenient and equipped house for a staying. The only downside was the second bed that was on the floor, but the staying was nice overall
Staying in Mark&Chay's house was a great experience. The house is very clean and comfortable. Abby is very nice and friendly. The neighborhood is nice too. We feel like staying at home.I would like to recommend this house to my friends.
