Carol is a warm and welcoming host. The house and back patio is very peaceful and full of interesting art. The surrounding area is nice as well - within walking distance to the bay and close to good restaurants, museums, and neighborhoods. Carol is very knowledgeable about the area and willing to provide information. I would not hesitate to stay there again!
Carrol's place was well suited to our needs, and accurately described. The pool was wonderful, though chilly. The bed was comfy, and our room was clean. the shared bath is across the house, and small, so if you have special needs consider that: for us it was fine. ( she's planning to upgrade soon.) There isn't anything within a good walk nearby, not even a market or cup of coffee, so be aware. Carol was a low key and uncomplicated hostess. There were no frills, breakfast or other offerings, but there was storage space in fridge for us.
Carol was a great host. Her house is full of art and it's a very calm place. We highly recommend staying there.
A nice home with all the art displayed in the house. A good location if you are looking for a place to stay to visit Miami. Carol leaves you at peace and you can do what you want.
A nice bed and a quiet street.
My stay was short but very sweet. This home is peaceful, harmonious, warm, spacious and clean. It has a patio with a pool and lots of vegetation, making you feel close to nature. The location is great and the neighborhood is quiet. I would love the opportunity to come again and definitely recommend it for those looking for a special place to stay. Carol is an excellent host. Her kind, soft and caring personality made my stay perfect. Thank you for the delicious croissants!
We had a great stay at Carol's for one night. It was perfect for us. A lovely little house with a clean guest room and a comfortable bed with many wonderful down pillows! We shared Carol's bathroom and the shower was very nice. Carol was very friendly and hospitable. She showed us all the art in her house as well as took the time to show us the art gallery out back. We had a key and could come and go as we liked. We used her kitchen in the morning and ate breakfast in her living room. We might have enjoyed the beautiful back yard if it were not for the unseasonably cold weather. Staying at her house allowed us to explore a part of Miami we would not have seen otherwise. We asked Carol for a dinner recommendation and she told us about FIORITO, a wonderful Argentinian restaurant nearby that we LOVED and want to go to again! We also wish we had time to explore the design district near Carol's neighborhood. Overall, a great experience.
I had a wonderful stay at Carol's place. Peaceful and Artful. If you are looking for a quieter option to South Beach this is a great option.
It's a wonderful house, Carol i8s lovely and the room is nice.
The bed is good, the shower hot and everything you need is nearby.
The neighbourhood is calm and green, I would definitely stay here again if I have a chance.
Carol has a very unique home (slash contemporary art gallery) with a beautiful backyard and pool in a quiet but super convenient neighborhood, close to Little Haiti and the Wynwood art district. She's also an accommodating host with spot-on recommendations on where to find excellent restaurants. If you are looking for the opposite of the typical tourist-trap experience, this is it!
