  • Alessandro's home is the ultimate find for travelers to Venice. It's in the perfect location - just a couple blocks from the Rialto area and plenty of bars, but it's off a quiet street on a super quiet ally so there's no noise at all. It's clean, and as pictured. The highlight is Alessandro, himself. He's the most gracious host, taking personal care of us during breakfast (awesome espresso machine!) and telling us all about this city he grew up in. He even lent some books about the city that are far more personal than any LP or RS guidebook. We will recommend this to our friends and family and hope to come again.

  • I can't recommend staying at this B&B enough. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and Alessandro is a wonderful host. He really made us feel welcome and helped us make the most out of our short stay in Venice, which really contributed to our enjoyment of Venice. Staying here was a highlight of our honeymoon (and the jacuzzi was a luxury we didn't get anywhere else!).

  • My husband and I had a great stay at the well-located Ca' Barb B&B. Our room was tastefully furnished and very clean; Alessandro was a really friendly and attentive host and always willing to provide useful information. Breakfast was excellent with fantastic cappuccino and fresh pastries. All in all our warmest recommendations!

  • Alessandro's B&B is a perfect place to stay in Venice, Its very central just meters away from Rialto Bridge in a nice quiet street with plenty of bars and restaurants near by. The room itself is lovely, nice comfy bed and quality bedding and furnishings. Room included a good coffee machine which was nice. Jacuzzi was an added bonus. There is free water and selection of soft drinks for the guests which I found very useful. Breakfast was delicious with added benefit of being served when you wake up... rather than having a very string early cut off time. Alessandro also allowed us a flexible check out which was lovely. The books provided were very insightful and made me see Venice from completely different prospective, definitely worth a read. Overall a great place to stay :-)

  • Superior to any hotel in Venice! Immaculately clean, warm and comfortable during a chilly weekend. The location is ideal - 2 minutes from the Rialto places you at the heart of sightseeing Venice but the B&B is tucked down a tiny, silent alleyway, away from the hoards! The room we had was a very good size, with a beautiful bathroom with a huge power shower. Breakfast was abundant and very delicious, full of local delicacies and Alessandro's favourites. Best of all was our host's advice on what to see and do in our very short time in the city. It's clear that he loves his city and is very knowledgeable. He lent us some fabulous books for our stay, giving a real insight into the city, and his recommendations for restaurants were varied and spot on. I couldn't recommend Ca' Baba B&B more highly!

  • I don't have the words to describe whAt a great place this was and what. Wonderful host Alessandro is. First of a the place is newly renovated and totally immaculate. Bathrooms are very clean with all new fixtures. Much nicer than a hotel.

Alessandro is very proud of his place and of Venice. He actually gave me two books to read to detail the history and the experience of The city during my stay. Made me breakfast, drew me maps, and gave advice on how to get to all the sites I was interested in seeing. I could not have asked for a better host.

  • We had a great stay in one of the rooms of Alessandro's B & B, which is essentially a small, elegant hotel. The one thing you may lack (at least from our room) is a view. Making up for that, the place is beautifully remodeled, clean, and well-located. It's not too near the swarms of tourists that surround the main sights, and yet close to a water-bus stop, and a ten to twenty minute walk from anything you might want to explore in Venice. Alessandro himself is an eloquent and passionate advocate for the exploration of this profound and strange city. We followed his advice to throw away our map, and we didn't regret it. This was a terrific weekend in Venice.

  • If you were to create the IDEAL B&B this would be it!! Alessandro is most gracious. Rooms are lovely and immaculate. Breakfast with its wonderful cappucinos and pastries and Alessandro's personal attention and suggestions catered to your interests make for a delightful stay. Great location, easy to get everywhere, quiet at night.
    Grazie, Alessandro!

  • Beautifully restored house with gorgeous wood floors and nice fixtures and fittings. Alessandro is super nice and helpful, going out of his way to get me a vegan breakfast, drawing us maps and advising us on places to visit.
This is a great location for a first time visitor to Venice as Alessandro will even meet you at the water bus!
Very clean and close to everything but not in a busy spot. Would recommend.

  • Our trip to Venice was made perfect by Alessandro and the BnB we stayed at. My wife and I usually stay at hotels and were a bit hesitant to stay in a BnB as we had never stayed in one in Europe. But all the doubt was gone as soon as we entered this charming spot. The place was spotless and Alessandro was a great host. He took the time to talk to us, give us fantastic recommendations and was very (email hidden)e rooms were clean, very tastefully decorated, and good size. The breakfast in the morning was great and Alessandro is a pro with his cafe machie. We are glad we made the choice to go this spot in Venice.
