Staying at Alessandro's bead and breakfast was a wonderful experience. The rooms were modern and very clean, everything I could think of was around. Best part was having breakfast with Alessandro and talking about Venice, the best spots to go to, history and meany other things. Highly recommended!
My friend and I stayed two nights at Alessandro's place and we'd have to say that this was absolutely the best part in our trip. Check-in and check-out time are both flexible. Alessandro is incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly to us. He picked us up from the water bus stop, helped us with the heavy luggage and provided us with wonderful books about Venice. He recommended us to go to some quiet places where no tourists were so that we could see the true Venice. He also recommended popular local restaurants with reasonable prices.
As for the room , I couldn't think of anything negative to say about. It locates in a quiet neighbourhood but it's also close to the public transport (less than 5 mins walk). Our room looks exactly the same from the picture and it is very clean as the cleaning lady comes everyday. The breakfast was our favourate part! Alessandro offered a range of food and drinks in the morning and we still miss that now.
Anyway, it is just a perfect place to stay in Venice and you will know why I'm saying that when you meet this fantastic host--Alessandro :-) I will definitely stay at his place if I visit Venice agian
We had a wonderful time at Ca'Barba. We were received by Caterina who gaves us all the information and tips and tricks to visit the city. Caterina was adorable and made us feel like we were staying at a friends' house. The room was lovely and very complete, even with our own expresso machine. :) Breakfast was delicious and Caterina even provided some local delicacies, biscuits from Burano and bread mini pizza. We loved our stay and will for sure go back when again in Venice.
Excelente host! Very professional, welcoming and kind. She communicates promptly and fluidly. The apartament is perfect, very clean and sized bedrooms. The location is even better. Excellent choice if anybody has planned to visit Venice!
Alessandro is the perfect host. We had an amazing stay with him. The room was very clean and comfortable, he even upgraded our room when we got there due to a cancellation. There were lots of little touches that made it extra special like the soft towels, and the bedsheets smelt delicious. Soft drinks in the fridge for us to help ourselves to and tea and coffee maker in our room. He made sure finding our way from the airport to the bnb was easy, meeting us in Rialto and walking us there. When we arrived he gave us some wonderful advice of where to go and what to do, and each morning he had something new for us. The best advice he gave to us was to just walk and get lost in venice, don't use a map. We had such a fantastic time getting lost! He also gave us some fantastic books to read whilst there, unfortunately I didn't manage to finish 'Venice is a fish' but I plan to buy it and finish it! The breakfast Alessandro made for us was delicious and luxurious with lots of italian breads, pastries and pizza. The bnb is in a really great location, very central, everything in walking distance. I highly recommend staying here, it's the perfect place to stay in such a beautiful city.
It was a wonderful four night stay with Alessandro . He is a very helpful and nice host. The breakfast is great: special local Venetian baked goods, fruits, cereal, juice, excellent coffee etc. He provided us with very helpful information on Venice and thanks god: with wellies (very helpful as it was Aqua Alta!). You cannot find a better accommodation!
Thank you Alessandro!!!

I was born in Venice and grown... in Venice... (to be honest, i studied math in Ferrara). I love reading, sports - i play basket- music, and i adore sailing. I'd try to describe my self but probably its for you to say.
