About this listing
Cool and modern flat, recently refurbished, with a big bright living room, an equipped kitchen, a study room, and a bedroom with a standard couple's bed. Located in the best part of Pinheiros, close to lots of good restaurantes and subway.
The living room is definitely the center stage; it's big, cozy, and very well-lit. Upon arriving, the first thing you'll encounter is my Grandmother's antique cabinet which dates from the 1930s; the two vide-poche's were made by great uncle in the 1950s, and the funky apple-shaped telephone belonged to my sister in the 1990s. Framed family photos scattered around the apartment complete the scene. Make sure you feel the carpet with your feet!
The kitchen is orange and open to the living room; the laundry has a yellow pipe. The bathroom is mostly green and blue.
In the study, you'll find my desk, my books (a mix of Brazilian, Portuguese, Russian and Greek literature), my reading chair and my bike.
The bedroom has a nice view to a palm tree across the street!
Bye! Hope to see you around!
PS: The pictures are out of date. I have a new flat screen TV now, cabinets in the kitchen, and an amazing book shelf in the study room. New pics coming soon!

"You know when a city is ascendant and when it is in decline. You can see it and feel it." I've recently read this in a famous travel guide, and I can say for sure that São Paulo, and specially Pinheiros - where I live - are definitely in the ascendant. I'm sure that staying in my apartment will provide you this experience.
It is located in the best part of Pinheiros, in a walking distance from some of the best restaurants in town (Maní, Chou, Le Jazz, Suri, Consulado Mineiro, etc).
There are a lot of things to do, and especially to eat, in the neighborhood. If you're looking for Brazilian food, you'll find a few great spots for typical meals from the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, not to mention Maní, a smart restaurant voted one of the best in the world, where contemporary food with exotic ingredients from the Amazon is served. You'll also find great Mexican, Chilean, Peruvian, Japanese and German restaurants, kebab bars, and a petit French bistro with jazz. There's also a great cachaça bar with live samba music, cafés, ice cram shops, tea houses, etc.
Please take a look at the guidebook I prepared with some of my favorites places and activities in the city.
From Pinheiros, you can get anywhere you want by bus, or subway (Yellow Line). Paulista Avenue is just 10 minutes away by bus. On Sundays, I recommend riding a bike to Ibirapuera Park, which is just 3km far.
Other Things to Note
THIRD GUEST OPTION: Although the apartment is best suited for two guests, a third one can be accommodated using a single mattress in the study room (which has no door). Pillows, sheets and towels will be provided.
IMPORTANT: Only requests for up to 4 days will be accepted, depending on the flat's availability. It'll be available for longer stays from July 9th to August 2nd 2015.
There are no specific house rules. I just expect from my guests the respect they would have for their own places. The apartment has recently been remodeled, the furniture is brand new, so please, just take good care of everything. I've been living in this building for almost ten years now, so please be respectful to the neighbours.
