THIS AREA HAS NOT BEEN AFFECTED BY THE STORM. WE ARE HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU.
Please don't be put off by this listing being outside of Manhattan. We are closer to Midtown Manhattan, Times Square, Theater District, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Empire State Building, Saint Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center than staying in other parts of Manhattan (Wall St., Upper East or West Side, above 70s... We are closer than all parts of Brooklyn and definitely way closer than staying in Queens/Bronx).
Hi guys Gaby here: to get a feel how close we are, look at the video http://(website hidden)/watch?v=qVzgLcDjWzY

The neighborhood is quiet and very nice, 100 steps from a family grocery to buy what you need. Walking distance to banks, pharmacy, and 15 minutes from midtown Manhattan (Time Square/Port Authority Bus Terminals). Great energy and very peaceful! Feel free to message me with any questions!
Our second stay here. We were in a different room, but the bed was comfortable and the room warm, while snowing outside. :-) Most of our time was spent exploring Manhattan, so we basically came back here to sleep. Overall a very relaxing comfortable place to stay, close to the rat race in the city, while keeping far enough away to be unaware of the hustle of NYC while we slept
Everything was exactly the way she advertised. Really all you need. Bus is the only Public transportation to midtown. It's very fast--only about 15 minutes with no traffic. Just be sure you know the bus route and details in advance.
Lovely hosts! Will return. Thanks so much!
To be honest, my wife and I didn't utilize the space very much. But! as the description says, this is close to the city and only takes a few minutes by bus (unless it's rush hour, but even then only a few more minutes) to get there. Whatever you do, don't take a cab, it's way too expensive compared to the bus fare.
Gaby greeted us warmly and let us know of good spots to eat nearby, how to get into the city, and all the other things we wondered about. She's very nice and we had fun talking with her.
Bottom line is if I come back to NY for a visit to the city, I'll stay here again. :)
I had a very nice room in a big apatment all was clean and car parking was no problem! Gaby was very friendly and
everything went very quickly and easily :-)
The apartment is very close to the bus, what brings you to New York.
Thank you very much!!
Vielen dank nochmal! :-)
Unfortunately we did not get to meet Gaby. But her apartment is very clean, updated and well located. Literally 15m from Manhattan by bus, and very safe neighborhood. Very comfy room. Thanks!
Great location. Very easy in and out of the city. Very accommodating.
Okay experience overall. I thought that the room looked nicer in the picture, but this was just because the wood floors were just old. Also, the bathroom was a slightly run down, but everything functioned well. There was a cleaning woman who came daily and the shared space was very nice. But the big negative for us was taking the bus into the city. It often took us at least 30 minutes to wait, get through the Lincoln tunnel and finally arrive at the Port Authority. And getting back was always stressful because the buses were always located at different doors and the NYC transit system was not user friendly if you're not familiar with it. Luckily, random people were very helpful! Honestly, I think that in the future, I would pay the extra money and stay in NYC proper, mainly for the convenience.
Nice and clean accommodation. Unfortunately we couldn't meet Gaby and Robert, but everything worked smoothly.
