Lauren accommodated a last minute reservation request and everything went very smooth. She also gave us awesome suggestions on what to do and where to eat. The Breakfast Club is amazing, and fun.
Lauren was quick to respond to questions and concerns.
We got in late, and Lauren left the lights on for us, which was nice. The condo was clean and charming. One thing I didn't realize until arrival is that the upstairs and downstairs don't connect from the inside (there is only access from outside), which was a bit isolating for the crew staying downstairs, but it wasn't problematic. The beach is a short walk away, and the patio is really nice. If it had been warmer during our stay, I'm sure it would have been nice to sit out. Our stay was brief, and it was nice that everything was hassle-free.
The reservation was canceled 63 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Loved the house! It was a perfect getaway. Great for two families or a group a friends wanting to get away.
Lauren was very helpful and we had a great time! Only a couple blocks from the beach so I could just wake up and walk over by myself. Very relaxing, I would stay there again!
Wonderful location! Lots of fun for a girls weekend. We got a cab to Savannah for Saturday night and it was $40 each way.
What a wonderful stay. Lauren actually upgraded us to another one of her homes. It was well furnished, a very short walk or bike ride to the beach and all our needs were met. From beach gear, chairs, bikes, a cool rec room, jacuzzi and a spacious, clean home. We can't wait to return!
Lauren was very quick to respond and offered good recommendations around Tybee Island, in particular AJ's Dockside (right around the corner from the house) for a beautiful sunset on the Bay.
The house is as-described and as-seen in the photos. That said, there are no photos of the bathrooms and they could definitely use some updating. There isn't a proper bathroom door on either of the two, and neither have functioning locks, For a house that holds up to 15 people that can be a challenge.
The listing needs to be updated to remove "hot tub" as an amenity. There is no hot tub, and I only knew this from the other reviewer's comments. I had specifically searched for properties with a hot tub when I landed on this property.
On the up side, the cable TV and WiFi are great bonuses. Not that we watched much TV given the great beaches and restaurants around us. The house is very convenient to the beach, and I loved the front porch.
Overall we had a very pleasant time. The only hiccup before securing the booking was that Lauren changed the price twice. Once to charge a holiday fee for Easter weekend, and then again to charge me back her Airbnb fees. This can be avoided in the future by her calculating accordingly before posting the price and availability.
FYI: The town of Tybee has a 10 PM noise ordinance, meaning it's quiet hours from 10 PM on, even on the weekends. This is easily resolved by getting out of the house and heading to a nearby bar (walking distance). The town is very cute. Otherwise head to Savannah for a night on the town. It's less than 30 minutes away.
Ultimately it all worked out. A good time was had by all. I would stay at one of Lauren's properties again in the future.
OK, renters. There is no hot tub. When I called the property manager, she said that there had not been a hot tub for years. Yet, it is listed in the amenities, the description and there is photo on this ad. Beyond this glitch, the property was a blast. Many sleeping spaces, a lovely common area, two bathrooms and a great location. We did have one guest who was rained upon (also reported to property manager) in the twin bedroom. My disappointment does not lie in the property but in the response from the manager. There was no offer of compensation, merely a "thanks for letting me know". I would recommend this listing if you have this knowledge prior to booking.
We had a last minute trip to make to Savannah and needed a place to stay. Since we were so many, our choices were limited.
Lauren was very accommodating and helpful throughout the process of booking. Tybee Island is so laid back and this house just forces you to forget your worries at the door.
It is very close to the beach- a short walk; it is in a nice area to take a stroll. We decided to drive to the public beach, not more than half a mile, since were so many and had small children. The closest boardwalk led us to a very quiet part of the beach. It was nice that the house had a few chairs, too! Overall, I enjoyed staying in the house, it was comfortable, cozy, and very accommodating.
