One private double guest bedroom available in a Victorian terraced house located in Wanstead village - a seven minute walk from Wanstead and Snaresbrook tube stations (both just three stops on the Central line to Stratford). Central London is 15 minutes by tube (Liverpool Street) and 30 minutes to Oxford Street.
The area: The house is in a lovely quiet road in a safe, leafy area. Wanstead is one of the best areas in East London – with a lovely village-y feel. Great local pub (just 3 minutes away) and just 5 minutes from the high street with lots of good cafes, restaurants and shops. Plenty of parks in the vicinity.
The room: The bedroom is large and light, with all mod cons – usual Victorian high ceiling and original wooden floors. The room has its own ensuite shower room (powerful shower and sink/vanity unit only). There’s also a spacious shared bathroom with toilet and bath.
Facilities: Other features of the house include: Dining room with large table, TV and DVD player; separate lounge with sofa, hi-fi and loads of books (including London maps and tourist guides which you’re welcome to borrow). Private garden with outdoor table.
The fee includes bedding, towels, all bills, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee as needed. Street parking is also available (on a ‘first come, first served’ basis).
NB: The accommodation also boasts the lively affections of Blossom the housecat!
