While you're here, take advantage of the private hiking trail that leads through old growth Juniper and Piñon trees. Our home and guesthouse are situated on the top of a rise with views of the La Plata mountains, Mesa Verde and the Sleeping Ute. The sunrises and sunsets last for hours and are always colorful. The quiet here has a deep settling effect, making sleep easy and more restful. When the moon is new (dark) the milky way is vibrant and highly visible. Wildlife abounds. All you have to do is stop and look around. Our neighbor’s friendly orange tabby, Cheetoh, might stop by for a visit. Please don’t let him into the apartment to respect guests after you who might have allergies.

During your stay

We respect your privacy, and are here if you have questions about the area, or any issues with your stay. We live on the property and the main house is attached to the guesthouse via a carport. You can expect to see us on the property but we do not expect you to interact with us. If you’d like to chat and get to know us, we are more than happy to do that as well. We leave it up to you.
