  • This place is a joke . It's got quite a view that's true. But that's about all. The staircase is tiny. Parents need to know you will hardly get a buggy up. The shower is hardly shoulder wide and you have to hold the shower head over yourself while trying not to fall out. Good luck . The whole bath as itself is build in the living room with a thin gypsum wall . You can continue your conversation while using the toilet with someone sitting at the table eating which is quite cozy. Bedroom does not have a door . The whole place is max 20 sqmeters . Good luck going there with four people as advertised . We were a couple with 2 year old daughter. The so called new bed is horrible. don't want to know the one before . We slept all three on the couch. The air con still does not work . Which was a nightmare as we needed it as a heating . The app was 8 degrees in feb . I send a message to Drasco no reply till today .We just left to an hotel on Thursday even though booked till Sunday .did not want to put my daughters health at risk . The girl who opened the door was so Barcelona savvy she did not even know under wich number you call a taxi . "People don't do this here" let me tell you they do and if you ever need the number because you are not backpacking but traveling with two suitcase two bags and a cradle and buggy call me I give it to you. Now the magical question who are the people Airbnb wants to make us believe own this apartment and care so well. I met the pretty nice Spanish gentleman who actually owns the whole top floor and is tremendously loud renovating the opposite apartment . He at least cared stopped the noise and gave me an access to a way faster wireless in the house and the taxi number really cool guy but you have to speak Spanish and be so lucky to run into him. No further assistance from the hoax owners.

    Response from Xenia And Drasco:

Strange guests, we've never had such a miraculous people in 5 years of renting the apartment :-) They have nothing to do with the idea of renting private apartments. Since Florian wrote only complaints, let's analyse it. Here's what Florian wrote: - This place is a joke /// completely disrespectful, we gave you a discount for your binational family when you ask for it, met you on time and provided you a nice accommodation. - The shower is hardly shoulder wide and you have to hold the shower head over yourself while trying not to fall out. /// never had this kind of complaints, I'm 190cm tall and 112kg :-) and can have a perfect shower in the apartment. - The whole bath as itself is build in the living room with a thin gypsum wall . You can continue your conversation while using the toilet with someone sitting at the table eating which is quite cozy. /// did you have the bathroom door open while you were using the toilette? :-) - Bedroom does not have a door. /// Have you looked at the photos before you booked? Did we maybe tell you there is a door? :-) - The whole place is max 20 sqmeters. /// It's exactly 32m2, it's not nice to lie just because you don't like the place. - The so called new bed is horrible. don't want to know the one before . We slept all three on the couch. /// :-) How did your binational family manage to sleep 3 people on the couch if you couldn't fit in the shower? - The air con still does not work . Which was a nightmare as we needed it as a heating. /// sorry, if you don't know how to use the AC after we explain it to you, and you don't contact us, why do you complain? P.S. (in Barcelona the AC units are used for heating as well as for cooling) - I send a message to Drasco no reply till today /// Notorious lie, we've never got any message from your binational family, Florian, and we answer all messages within 5min :-) - We just left to an hotel on Thursday even though booked till Sunday .did not want to put my daughters health at risk /// We're happy your binational family survived the polar arctic weather conditions of Barcelona. - The girl who opened the door was so Barcelona savvy she did not even know under wich number you call a taxi /// It's very easy to find taxi online, just write keywords Taxi Barcelona in (website hidden) and that's it. You could take care of this before arrival as well.

  • Thanx Xenia and Drasco! We had a lovely time in Barcelona. Your house, miramar 2, was cosy and had a lovely view. Every morning we had breakfast on the balcony and looked over the sea. I think especially in summer, this house is a perfect stay to combine a city-trip and a relaxing holiday at the beach.

  • Amazing balcony and views! Incredible location. We rarely left our apartment because we couldn't beat the experience!

  • The views and the location make this apartment THE place to stay in Barceloneta. We loved staying here and will definitely be back. Great beach bars, restaurants, bike rentals, marina, night clubs, Port Olympic, Port Vello, the Teleferico, las Ramblas are all a short walk away. Everyone else has talked about it, so I will mention it too....for this magnificent view you must climb a steep and narrow 5 flights of stairs...several times per day. The upside is of course you get a great work out so you never feel bad about eating all that great Jamon Iberico, Queso Manchego and washing it down with a few copas of Cava. If you are a couple, skip the bed in the bedroom and sleep on the living room Futon. It's lovely to go to sleep with the sound of the surf and wake up to the beach view. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as it can be noisy outside until late - but who cares - you are on holiday and it's Barcelona you won't want to go to bed early anyways. Thank you Drasko for a great stay - until next time!

  • It was a girly weekend in Barcelona to celebrate my sister`s and my best friend`s 30th Birthday at the end of August 2013. I organised it for a first time by myself as I have always used a travel agency. This time we wanted something different and I was worried how the Airb&b website works as I have never used it before but.....if you have the same doubts now its unnecessary as the hosts, apartment, localisation were excellent. The place is clean and quiet looking at the fact that is so close to the beach. There is everything you need to. I contacted Drasko mainly via email and he always responded within seconds and was very helpful. On the last day of our holiday, our flight was quite late so they offered that we can leave our suitcases in their office. There is a plenty of shops and restaurants and the little streets around the beach and apartment are very charming.
It was a very good choice. We will definately come back there in the future.

  • Thank you we had fun in Barcelona. Great location and nice view. Kids could go at the beach early in the morning. Every things is within walking distance.

  • Drasko gave us a very friendly welcome. We were 2 people and the apartment was not too small. The view was overwhelming. It is worth coming again just because of it.
Both beds, in the bedroom and the sofa, should be changed. They were really bad. Apart from this, everything was PERFECT. By the way: you have to be in good shape to reach the top level, but...the view is worth sweating.

About
Xenia: I am originally from Moscow and I moved to Barcelona 4 years ago. I love this city because it's a perfect combination of history, culture and seaside, mountains and beaches, because of its climate (300 sunny days in a year) and because of it's size - it not too small neither too big. I practice Yoga, play beach volley and study german language. I wish all my guests enjoy Barcelona the same way I do, and I since I know Barcelona very well, I can give you good tips on where to eat, go for a shopping, go at night, which sightseeing to visit, and whatever you wish to know about this beautiful city. I speak spanish, english, russian and german. Drasco: I am originally from Serbia, have been living in Barcelona since 2001. I like to play basketball, interested in new technologies and in foreign languages. I know every single street of the Old Town of Barcelona and a vast majority of the other Barcelona neighbourhoods. I like people and I can answer to almost any question regarding your stay in Barcelona. I speak english, swedish, russian, catalan, spanish and serbian. We prefer to travel on our own, to stay at private houses or rooms all over the world because we believe that way we can learn more about a new country, its people, traditions, etc. Our life motto: if you dare to win, you can't lose! :-) You're welcome to stay with us in Barcelona! :-)
