The Havana Cabana is your home away from home. Take time to breathe and just be by soaking in your surroundings and being with the people that matter most. We strive to provide you with a relaxing atmosphere and great amenities. You will have full access to your own private, sandy beach (directly behind the home) with amazing sunset views and great fishing. We provide 3 adult kayaks, one double and one child (under 150 pounds), and a pedal boat. Great outdoor fire-pit for s’mores and memories.

The space
The cozy cottage has an open floor plan and also space to spread out. There are amazing lake and sunset views from nearly every room. We invite you to relax and unwind and let the stresses of the world go while soaking in what nature has to offer. We strive to provide what you need by truly thinking things through on what would make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable.

With your stay comes:

*Private beach (water levels can vary and access is ONLY to the private beach directly behind the home)
*3 adult kayaks (weight limit 250 lbs max)

*1 kid kayak (150 lb max)
*Lifejackets of different sizes (life jackets are REQUIRED for all water activities)
*Pedal boat (max weight capacity 625 lbs)

*Fire-pit with roasting sticks
*Starter firewood (guests to buy any additional)
*A small grill maintained by guests
*Charcoal and lighter fluid
*Indoor and outdoor games

The quaint and up and coming town of Havana is just a short drive (approximately 5.5 miles away) and has great things to offer. There are several restaurant options, a variety of hiking trails, parks, picnic areas, local grocery stores, darling boutiques and much more. Peoria and Springfield are both about an hour away to make for great day trips.

You can come in and relax the entire time or get out there and explore. There’s a little something for everyone.

Although we list our home for a maximum of 6 guests, it is preferred to have a maximum of 4 of those guests to be adults.

Guest access
Guests have access to the cottage, patio, front and back yards as well as a private beach area directly behind our home (water level varies at times which can change how much beach access is available). Keypad entry into the cottage with personal door code.

Please note guests are only allowed to use the beach area directly behind our home. Please do not go on or set up anything on our neighbors beaches.

Other things to note
**WE REQUIRE the booking guest to sign a release and waiver for use of kayaking equipment, paddle boat and lake activities and to acknowledge that themselves and all guests in their party accept the conditions stated prior to engaging in said activities.**

Be sure to read and review house rules. By booking with us, you are agreeing to follow the house rules.

Although we welcome kids to enjoy what the Havana Cabana has to offer, please note the house is NOT child proofed and there is a ledge without railing overlooking the water. Our home is DIRECTLY on the lake. Adult supervision is required at all times.

We highly recommend water shoes at the beach/in the water. The lake is DIRECTLY behind the home.

Although we have our home treated indoors and out, being by the water and nature does attract it’s fair share of bugs. We provide bug spray, fly swatters and tiki candles/lights but please bring aware that this is a thing.

Our place is located 5-6 miles from the town of Havana which has many restaurant options, shops, grocery stores, fast food places, parks, slot machines, and much more!

We are close to Canton, Petersburg and Lewistown with other options of things to do and places to eat. We are also approximately 50 miles from both Peoria and Springfield for easy day trips!
