Tucked away between Waterloo and Clapham, off the busy A3, Kennington is one of south London’s most surprising areas. Once home to Charlie Chaplin and Vincent Van Gogh, Kennington was highly sought after in Georgian London before falling into decline. In recent years, it has re-emerged as a south London property hotspot. A sure sign of Kennington’s newly found popularity lies in the emergence of a well supported café culture along Kennington’s High Street.
Kennington station is only 3 min away. Bus stops are just across the street.
Kennington locals have the choice of three tube stations. On the Northern Line, Kennington and Oval stations are both in Zone 2. Nearby Lambeth North is on the Bakerloo Line and is in Zone 1.
The area is extremely well connected by local bus routes. Buses include the 3 (to Piccadilly Circus), the 59 to King’s Cross, the 133 (to Liverpool Street), the 159 (to Paddington) and the 415 to Elephant & Castle
