A great location. Very close to Centraal Station and all the other local attractions. Has everything you need. Full kitchen and laundry. I would gladly stay there again.
Perfect location for absolutely everything. 5 minutes to taxi place, many restaurants around, 2 minute walk from red light district. Apartments are very spacious and has all you would ever need - if not more! Highly recommended.
Maurizio's appartment is very confortable and central. You can reach everything (museums, bars, shops, restaurants) into some minutes....even in some seconds in some cases....!
Maurizio was very kind with me. Even if he was in Italy during my stay in Amsterdam, he always kept contact with me and was very helpful. His friend, Gerrit - also very kind, waited for me in the appartment and showed me the area.
Really nice experience!
Apartment is great and in a wonderful location. Hosts are awesome as well. I recommend anyone to stay at this location. Best experience I've had. It's top notch.
I have to say that this place is amazing, the location is very close to everything! I had one of the best months of my life at this place, great memories :)
Maurizio was very responsive, even so he wasn't there, he always keep in touch with me. Garret was the one who received me there, and I have to say that he is a very very nice person, he helped me telling about the places around, and when we had a situation with the building door (they had to change the locker because it was broken) he came very quick to get me the other key.
So, if you are thinking on getting this place, think no more, you will not regret :)
The apartment is well-located near the Centraal train station and within walking distance to many great sights. Access to further sights like the Museumplein (Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh/Stedelijk) by tram/bus was easy.
The concrete staircase is thankfully divided into several shorter flights though a bit steeper than international stairs. Other than arrival and departure, it was not a problem for anyone who can walk up/down 6 short flights of stairs to the 2nd floor (From where we are, the 3rd floor, as we count the ground floor as the 1st floor). Just be slow and careful and it is not a problem.
Gerrit welcomed us to the place warmly and was efficient in providing the necessary information and answering our questions. He even provided us with a much appreciated starter set of food items in the kitchen! We did not have the pleasure of thanking him personally due to our early morning departure at 8am+ but it was as easy as just leaving the keys on the dining table and closing the main door. Thank you!
The place itself is the highlight with the Airbnb photos accurately showing the great condition and cleaniness of the apartment. As the World Cup was on during our stay, we enjoyed staying inside even when it was still sunny outside at 5.30-6pm. We made full use of the excellent kitchen with the 3-in-1 combo microwave and full-sized fridge to have the majority of our meals in the evening while watching the big matches!
The Zeedijk street itself has great choices for eating but the night noise can be a problem as pointed out in other reviews. Loud drunken party people will shout and talk loudly throughout the night especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The double glazing in the bedroom are excellent in keeping out such noise, but the single layer in the living room is not as effective for those sleeping on the sofa-bed there.
The washing machine and dryer were useful and allowed us to wash the bath towels and our clothes regularly. Extra linen was provided but we could just use a single set this way. The vacuum cleaner was also regularly used to help keep the place clean as we stayed for 2 weeks.
While a little expensive for our particular stay (the monthly rate for an entire month is only a little more than what we paid for just 13 days), we heartily recommend Maurizio's place for your next stay in Amsterdam!
