The space
What kind of a stay can I expect if I book this?

A hideaway in a quiet residential area, this place combines access to public services (groceries, transportation, restaurants) with the feeling of being far away from the hustle.
Sunrays filter through the branches of the small garden's giant oak, where birds chirp and squirrels run. Here you can take a swim in the lake, have a barbecue in the sunset, or visit Stockholm's oldest church up the road.

The neighbourhood

The nature reserve Kyrksjölöten, as well as the nearby Judarskogen, allow free access 24/7, all year round. These reserves provide a home to several birds and amphibians worthy of protection, as well as traces from the Ice Age, and a grave field from the Iron Age.

Bromma kyrka (a couple of minutes down the road) is the oldest church in Stockholm, dating back to the 12th century. It has been recently renovated and is surrounded by a well kept cemetery.

Taking the bus from Brommaplan you easily reach Drottningholm, the royal residence built in the 18th century, complete with a park typical of the time. The changing of the guards, the tours of the interior and the theatre are popular attractions if you want to do more than just walk the grounds. It is open for visitors year-round. In the summer, boats depart regularly to the city centre.

When you're done with the sightseeing there are many possibilities for the active traveller! How about taking a swim/skating in lake Mälaren (if the adjacent lake Kyrksjön is too small for your needs), hitting it off on the Bromma golf course, enjoying the outdoor gyms, or using the public bath house in Åkeshov? If you're more into indoor training there are at least four within walking distance. For mini-golf, go to Ängby (unless you want a course built for competitions which you'll find at Tanto, on Södermalm). And more!
