It is my first trip to Kenya and I am very happy that I found Annie and Paul on Airbnb. Wow what wonderful kind hosts. Annie picked me up from the airport after a 22 hour journey. They made me feel right at home. They went out of there way to accommodate my questions about things to do and transportation...even drawing diagrams and making sure I got on the right Matatu. They provided me with a driver that they know well to chauffeur me around on the days I wanted to be out for a long time. Their property is very secure, their room is clean, comfortable and accommodating and the wifi works well if you need to email home. Shops are close by. They did up a traditional breakfast and if you want dinner it can be added for a small fee. It was scrumptious. No complaints from me...Annie, Paul and there two kids will always be a highlight to my trip to Kenya. There welcome to my home anytime.
I would like to give a big thank you to Annie and Paul for a wonderful stay! I stayed in Nairobi for a short-term training at AMREF. They helped arrange transportation from the airport, provided a temporary sim card, arranged for the bottle water on my first day, offered many tips of taking Matatu, shopping at the wet market, shopping at Galleria and traveling in Maasai Mara and trekking in Mt. Kenya. And even helped me try to get a job or internship placement. I instantly feel part of the family. I rented one of the rooms in this house. However, Annie and Paul opened up the whole house to me.
The house is very secure in a double gated community. And it is not far away from the main road. I felt quite safe walking by myself. A very easy access to reach supermarkets and the town center.
Highly recommended! Annie's place was my first stop in Africa, they truly changed my expectation of Kenya and left me wonderful memories I had with them. Thanks again!
I had a great stay with Annie and Paul. Unfortunately i didn't get to talk to them enough. But I had lots of hours of fun with their 2 sweet and energetic kids. I can definitely recommend staying with Annie and Paul.
Annie, Paul and kids are great ! If I will ever be again in Nairobi, I'll definetely stay with them! So friendly, so helpful, they really let me feel as a member of their family.
Langata is a nice district of Nairobi, you can feel safe there, and it's really close (walking distance) to Nairobi National Park, with good conection (one matatu no 15) to the city center.
Room is cosy, clean and nice, with mosquito net in.
I hope we'll keep in touch and maybe next time I will be able to host you in my place, friends. Stay as you are - you are great people!
I had a great experience at Annie's house, she and her family makes me feel welcome from the beginning, they gave me such a useful information for my stay in Nairobi, the room was very nice, and the neighborhood is very easy to get from downtown, also well located if you want to visit Nairobi National park, and another parks close by.i highly recommend her because I always feel like being at home.
Annie and Paul were fantastic to stay with! Their two children, Andrew and Paula were adorable and added to the homestay experience! She went out of her way to make certain we had a great stay, organized a very reasonably priced safari for us, and it was nice staying up and talking with them in the evening and learning about Kenya! If you are going to Nairobi, and don't stay with them, you are truly missing out!
Annie & Paul are very friendly people to stay with and interesting to talk to! They have two kids, and live in Langata, a safe area in Nairobi. I felt immediately at home with them, the room was clean, and they served lots of good food. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who likes to have a real homestay experience with a Kenian family.
