Nice quiet apartment in the heart of Trastevere. 1 bedroom + 1studio/bedroom (sofa bed). Trastevere is the best area to stay in Rome, full of life, attractions and pizzerias/restaurants. Next to the building there's a playground for children.
This great apartment is located very centrally in the district of Trastevere, on Via Luigi Santini. The property is located on the 2nd floor of a historic building with elevator. It is comprised of a living room with sofas, dining room, double bedroom, studio with a desk and a computer, modern, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with bathtub and shower. It features air conditioning in all rooms, satellite TV, stereo system, washing machine, dishwasher and computer with internet connection. Its modern, high quality design furnishing, together with the high ceilings and parquet floor in all rooms complete this elegant apartment.
The area (Trastevere) is one of the nicest of the centre and it's famous for its fascinating ancient streets and the great choice of traditional restaurants and lively cafes. Supermarkets, groceries, open air market are all at close walking distance.
Next to the apartment there’s an open-air food market, plenty of supermarkets, gourmet foodstores and one of Rome’s greatest street food takeout shop.
For families with kids there’s an open-air playground on the square 100 meters from the apartment.
The neighbourhood is very safe. It is convenient for public transportation and you would get very quickly and easily everywhere. It is also pleasant to walk to the main sites of interest, as you would cross many nice places in the ancient centre. From the Gianicolo hill (500 meters from the apartment) you can enjoy a magnificent view of Rome.
If there's a checkout from previous guests, checkin cannot take place before 11:00. At that time the new guests can leave the bags and wait for the apartment to be cleaned (that should take about one hour).
Checkout is by 11:00: guests can keep the bags in the apartment after that time but should pack and leave them by the door no later than 11:00.
If the apartment is free, checkin and checkout can happen at any time.
Be nice to the apartment and avoid big and noisy parties...
Piero's correspondence regarding this booking was always prompt and very helpful.
Trastevere is a lovely neighbourhood to stay in! Piero sent some valuble information regarding shops, restaurants etc. in the surrounding area. Our two favorite spots were Augusto's restaurant and the 'Ombre Rosse' bar.
The apartment itself was a real quiet haven in a big and busy city. Piero was unfortunately not there to welcome us personally, due to a trip to India. However, he communicated all of this to us in time, and supplied a stand-in host who did the job perfectly!
Paulo, the (stand-in), was there on time when we arrived, and informed us about everything in and around the apartment that we needed to know. He also offered some good advice on how to get around in Rome by train and tram. We had no problems settling in.
The apartment was well appointed and very neat and clean.
We were also supplied with basic items like soap, sjampoo and toiletpaper.
The kitchen is properly equipped and clean.
The bathroom is a spacious and pleasant space. Everything works.
We loved the 'retro' decor and the incredible collection of travel and other intresting books. A veritable library!
Piero also sorted out our transfer back to the airport. The shuttle arrived on time and there were no problems.
Booking this apartment definitely made our stay in Rome most pleasant!
Piero's apartment was beautiful.
Piero was lovely, nice and communicative through all steps.
the apartment is clean, pretty and quite. the location in Trastevere cannot be better. We walked everywhere and did not have to use public transport at all. All good words!
We were very happy staying in Piero's apartment. Tasteful, clean, in a good location. Piero is a friendly and very well organised host. Recommended

It was very nice to stay in Pieros apartment in Trastevere. A quiet apartment as promised nearby a neighboorhood with a great atmosphere and the possibility to walk to many of Romes tourist attractions.
Piero was very helpfull before and during our stay. He answered emails very quickly and arranged a driver to pick us up in the airport. He gave good advise about public transportation, things to see and where to eat.
We can only recommend you to stay in Pieros apartment if you are 4 persons or less and if you want to stay in a central and yet peacefull place.
Piero and his apartment were wonderful. He was the most responsive and helpful host I have had thus far with air bnb. The neighborhood is so perfect and we would definitely stay in his flat again. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the flat, and Piero!!
Piero was an awesome host! He responded quickly to all my questions before our visit and even arranged for a car to transport us to and from the apartment. He met us at the apartment and even let us check in early. The apartment was perfect for us (my mom, step dad, 2yr old daughter, and myself). It is very clean and has a spacious living area. Piero even has a nice map of the local area for restaurants and food shopping.
My daughter loved the park at the corner and every evening we got gelato around the corner at Fatamorgana. We loved getting pastries and coffee at Compagnea del Pane (towards the river in Trastevere). All the main tourist attractions are within walking distance. We really enjoyed visiting Piazza Santa Maria which is only 5 minutes from the apartment. There is a beautiful church and fun street performers.
I look forward to visiting again.
