The Space

What to expect:

Large room, super close to airport, 5-7 min walk to train station for easy CBD connection! 3min walk to large shopping centre, cinemas and restaurants and amenities at your door step! Free wireless internet! Lite breakfast included. See you soon!

The house details:

Come stay in our funky, clean and comfortable three bedroom townhouse in Brisbane and enjoy a large private room in the second floor. We are proud of our home decoration and the feel of our home.

We can provide you with a fan if needed or extra blankets :) Just ask us!

The house offers everything you are used to at home. Feel free to make use of the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy a drink in our courtyard.

We provide you with towels, coffee and tea, an iPod doc station in your room. We made the price very affordable as although your room is larger than the host, you will have to share the bathroom with the hosts (noting I am almost never there...)

The area: (Best location for access to airport and transport to city)

Nearby amenities: Within 250m from the house (literally just down the road or a 3 minute walk!) you will find a shopping centre with supermarkets, cinemas, and shops and a variety of cafes and restaurants. We are located close to the airport but without the noise!

From our place to Aiport: is only a 6-7 min drive or 25-27 dollar in a taxi (the train for two people is always more than that!)

Getting to the city by train:
It is just a short 5-7 min walk to train station (Toombul). You can train anywhere.

It is a 11-13 min journey by train to CBD and Fortitude Valley clubbing/dining district. Trains to the CBD come every 5-6 minutes every day on peak hour (morning and late afternoon) and every 15 minutes at all times, seven days a week.
There are many council bus services that run through the area and 24 hour buses from the CBD/valley on the weekends.

Driving to the city: airport link into the city/valley (6-7 minutes) otherwise 10-15 minutes.

Driving to the coast: Also, if you are going to vist Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast beaches the house is conveniantly located within 2 minutes drive to Gateway motorway entrance.

I am looking forward to welcome you to Brisbane in the near future!

We have a cute cat too but he's not allowed in your room!

  • We really enjoyed staying with Shana! Her house is very conveniently located- close to the airport and also within easy walking distance of restaurants, groceries, shopping, etc. Shana was a great host and drove us to one of her favorite dinner spots and ordered us a cab to the airport in the morning. She is a very interesting person and it would have been fun to spend more time with her. I would highly recommend her place to anyone!!

  • Shana was really easy going, quick to respond, and prepared for our arrival. We did not have the chance to meet her, however everything was well set up and the room was perfect for what we needed. The location was great- in between the airport and easy to get to the CBD for the day. We loved the place, gorgeous lounge room and adequately sized bathroom. Sharing the house was not an issue at all and staying here allowed for us to have a great time in Brisbane!

  • Shanas house was in a great location as we needed somewhere close to the airport. Her house was very clean, tidy and spacious. Bonnie, Shanas housemate was very friendly, down to earth and made us feel at home. Shana was a great host and let us check out late as our flight at 8pm. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here :)

Hi I'm Shana I was born in Brazil where I lived for 24 years before I moved to Australia (about 10 years ago!). I have travelled to more than 20 countries and simply love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. The highlights of my travels (outside Brazil and Australia) include hiking up to Machu Picchu, flying over the glaciers in New Zealand, walking the Great Wall of China, cycling on Zion Canyon Park, and parasailing/relaxing in Key West. In addition to that, I must say how amazing Australia is. Queensland in particular stole my heart with the amazing Great Barrier Reef and Sunshine Coast beaches nearby. Noosa as a favourite. Brisbane has also several great sites to visit and unfortunately is often under estimated. I can definitely give you some fantastic tips to make your Brisbane experience unforgettable. Things you must do in Brisbane: experience our cafes, have dinner in Portside, catch the CityCat, visit the Powerhouse in New Farm, visit South Bank and GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art), watch a play/ballet at QPAC, West End Markets, Fortitude Valley Entertainment Precinct, see the views of the city at night from Mount Cootha, pet some kangaroos and Koalas at Lone Pine Park or go to Australia Zoo, etc. There is so much to do whoever you are and whatever you like you will have a great time. I work full-time as a lawyer so that means I leave home early and come back late at night. If you are arriving at the airport, I can try arrange to pick you up if it doesn't clash with our schedules. It is only a 6 minute drive. Cheers, Shana Shana
