This comfortable and cozy apartment has bamboo flooring, WiFi, a full kitchen, dining area, work space, and a parking space. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, one bathroom and a full size futon in the living area to accomodate 4 people comfortably. There is one window air-conditioning unit in the living room, heater, and all rooms have ceiling fans. The dining area also spaciously seats 4 people.
The apartment is conveniently located on the border of LA's Chinatown and Downtown neighborhoods. Walk 50 yards to Cesar Chavez Avenue and hop on any of the numerous buses to your destination or walk 3 blocks to the Metro train line to Union Station or Hollywood. The apartment is near the entrance to the 101, 110 and 10 freeways. Nearby attractions include Old Chinatown, Olvera Street, the Los Angeles State Historic Park, Disney Concert Hall, Little Tokyo, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles Civic Center, Bunker Hill, Dodgers Stadium, Staples Center, LA Convention Center, and many more.
Notes about the apartment:
1. The apartment has separate bedroom and living area but there is no door between the two rooms, there is just a wall and a doorway.
2. If you are a TV watcher, we apologize, the TV can be fuzzy at times. The TVs are in great condition but the cable owned by the city is not and it makes one of the TVs fuzzy.

We had a wonderful stay. Frances responded quickly with answering any questions we had . She was flexible when we arrived a little later than planned. It was clean and centrally located in LA. It was great to have a parking space behind in the back. The place itself was just big enough for me, my husband, and 2 kids. The only issue we had was the TV. We were unable to turn it on for some reason. Maybe we just didn't know how to work it. But it didn't matter we spent the day at the museums during the day and the kids were exhausted when we got back. I would definitely stay again!
Frances' place was very clean and the stay was super comfortable :-). Great location too! Definitely would recommend this place to others.
In one word: GREAT.
Frances' brother Alan was so friendly. We met him in front of the house when we arrived. He introduced us in everything and gave us the feeling to be welcome. We met him serveral times and he even offered to take us to the Greyhound-Station.
The apartment was very comfortable, clean and is well located, just next to downtown L.A.
Everything was as described or even better.
If we are ever making in back to L.A., we are going to stay here. We really do recommend this apartment to everyone.
Great place. We had a great time in Los Angeles. I would recommend it to everybody.
Great position close to Union Station, 704 bus from bus stop upstairs at back of station, get off 2nd stop opp. Burger King. Close to buses 2 & 4. Short walk to Metro.
Great apartment. Everything you need. Great bed, plenty of pillows. Lots of hot water, good shower.
Walmart supermarket and chemist (drug store) near the bus stop.
Close to Chinatown.
Thanks Francis and Alan
The space was indeed comfortable. Everything was set up well and we had a very enjoyable stay!
The accommodation is very central, well maintained and is as described in their advertisement. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Thanks!
Frances' apartment is an easy walk to downtown, LIttle Tokyo, and of course, Chinatown. The brand new floors were beautiful and sparkling. Having wifi access was invaluable and even though there was a small desk in the living area, the sunny kitchen table was the perfect spot for me. She was flexible with arrival and departure times, allowing me to leave my bags for later pickup after one more museum visit.
This Chinatown Apartment is spacious, clean, well-kept, has a good kitchen (all utensils available, we made breakfast every morning and cooked some of the evenings), comfortable bed, nice hot shower. The price is really good for the quality it offers.
The grocery market is around the corner. It is about a 20 minutes walk to downtown. We had to be at Geffen/Moca every day, and walked there (along the City Hall, through Tokyo town, ca 25 minutes walk). It is also near to Union Station (15 minutes walk) and to the old Pueblo de los Angeles.
The neighborhood itself is a bit bland, but it is 1,2 miles to Echo Park, where there are many nice cafes, bookshops vntage shops, and a wonderful restaurant (Sage, very recommendable).
Frances and Alan gave good directions, were very communicative and at the same time respected our privacy. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay, we certainly would want to come again!
Nice place. Good location, clean and comfortable.
