Loved, loved, loved our stay in the barn! Delicious yummies to snack on, great meditation space, quiet, and comfortable. Picturesque setting. David was awesome, and helpful, but not at all intrusive. Came to Maine to run a 50 mile race, and greatly appreciated having such a chill, beautiful place to stay before and after. Definitely happy chose the barn over a hotel could stay at anywhere, and would love to come back!!!
David and Regine were kind, gracious hosts and have a lovely home! The pictures don't do it justice! The wood stove and open concept in the first floor made us feel right at home, warm and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with delicious fresh local bread and milk, as well as preserves, eggs and butter. The grounds were gorgeous - I took a dawn snowshoe out into the expansive forests. David was available the entire time and even gave us excellent recommendations for a hike in the area. Our friends from Italy were also impressed and loved the fact that we got to spend time together in such a wonderful place. We'll definitely be back!!
This home was perfect for the four of us! The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and our hosts made sure that we were comfortable and attended to every detail! The kitchen was well stocked with breakfasts foods, fruit, and even gluten free bread and almond milk for my daughter with food sensitivities! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to come again next year!
My daughter and I really enjoyed staying at David and Regine's Maine Magic. Situated in a beautiful and quiet rural area, the place is filled with sunlight during the day, and the woodstove keeps you warm and cozy at night. The fridge was well stocked with local and organic breakfast essentials and David and Regine were the most welcoming and generous hosts I've ever had.
We loved staying in the barn-apartment; David's wife had a wood fire going and the lights on when we arrived. It was warm and very inviting. The only problem was that the second bed was really difficult to sleep on for me- it was futon-like- not good for me because of the hard slats. We are a little older now so we prefer to sleep separately. We would love to return if David could replace that with a good, soft mattress. Joseph Eller
