My wife and I stayed with Laurren for two days. We had a great time! We loved Laurren's house. We had the Colorado river to listen to at night and enjoyed the different gardens and pathways on her property. Laurren was the perfect host and made us feel like her house was our house. We would also recommend the Glenwood Springs area.
Laurren was an incredibly kind hostess and was equally inviting and respectful. Although I only stayed the night, the Retreat is ideal for all occasions. The rumors are true, her house is literally on the Colorado River. Located on the grounds are small patios and trails ideal for meditation and escape. The famous Glenwood Hot Springs are right up the road and are definitely worth the trip! Overall our stay with Laurren was stupendous!
Laurren's home was the perfect support to me in my desire for some quiet, reflective time in nature. In addition, Laurren was so helpful in giving me ideas for points of interest to explore that met my goals for hiking and exploring natural sites as well as physical renewal. Dimon, her German Shepherd was a gentleman and gave me a sense of protection and presence during my stay. it was great for me!
Laurren is a wonderful host, we enjoyed very much our stay there. She has a beautiful and peaceful house.
Location is perfect. Energy is soothing. GREAT place to relax and meditate and renew and get inspired. Laurren's house is private and right above the river and with a drop dead gorgeous view of the canyon. Eagles soar overhead. There are numerous places to sit and soak in the atmosphere on an incredible porch and surrounding garden. The house is very open (great windows with no blinds) giving the feeling of camping in the woods in style. Staying with Laurren is like staying with family.
Laurren's place was exactly what we needed to make our whirlwind three night stay in the Glenwood Springs area perfect. Breathtaken views abound in Laurren's back yard. Property is close to everything, but you do need transportation. Right on the Colorado river which is wonderful to listen to at night, but be advised there is a train that may pass two to three times per night. The property is gorgeous and that made up for anything not quite perfect. Laurren was very attentive to our needs and is a wonderful person. This is a wonderful place and experience.
Laurren's place on the Colorado River is magical. 100% better than a hotel room in town. On the deck right outside our bedroom door we napped and chatted for hours in the sun and watched the stars at night. Laurren and Damone (her German Shepard) and a couple of kitties were warm and congenial hosts. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and hope to visit there again soon.
Laurren has an inspiring home and personal experience to share with anyone and everyone. Truly a beautiful experience all together and will most definitely be back for a longer stay. Hospitality was fabulous and the proximity to Glenwood Springs makes a great excuse for a night at The Pullman after Sunlight Mountain. Make sure to say hi to Dumone the German Sheppard and his old cat friend for us when you're there.
Laurren was a delight to stay with. She was thoughtful in helping us plan, giving us updates about the weather. During our stay, she was very helpful in planning our adventures in Glenwood Springs. And I can't say enough about the accommodations. It snowed while we were in town and waking up to snow in the mountains at her place-the view was spectacular. Laurren helped make our trip special by providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in as beautiful setting. And the breakfasts she provided were exceptional! Overall, it was a lovely trip in a beautiful and scenic location with a wonderful host!
We absolutely loved the escape this home along the Colorado offered us. Watching Canadian Geese drift down river, honking as they floated by, was a hoot. Laurren's gardens were lovely and the home's features were fantastic. We enjoyed the late evening on the deck and stargazing once night fell. Meeting Laurren, Damonne, and Elmo was a pleasure and Laurren's breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
