  • This was the perfect place for my stay and my situation. As an adjuster handling losses from Hurricane Sandy I was able to set up a small office and I was close to all areas of the city. The ease of getting to/from Nicola's home was perfect espically after driving around the crazy NY & NJ traffic. If I go back to the area of an extended amount of time I would try to stay here again.

P.S. If you are lucky Nicola might even cook you dinner....but I think you have to be special so no promises.

  • Nicola and parrots were very welcoming. It was always a pleasure to come back to the calls and whistles of the parrots. Oh, and when Nicola got in and called "I'm home", I responded, even though it was meant for the birds. Lovely old house, great room.

I was stuck in NJ due to the hurricane and Nicola was most accommodating and considerate. Will definitely recommend her home to others.

    Gracias, Nicola!!

  • Nicola was the perfect host; she made us feel completely at home and was polite, friendly and extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and transport options. Her house was very spacious, clean and beautifully setup with a comfortable bed and everything you would want in a bathroom. We will definitely stay here again purely because Nicola is great, the lovely room and house is a bonus.

  • Nicola was gracious and offered us use of washing machine (which we were too lazy to take her up on) as well as being solicitous of our comfort.
Her coffee was pretty good and she told us her kitchen was available if we needed it.Her house is very close to easy transit (bus) to NYC and to major highways in all directions. The neighborhood is quiet and leafy.

  • Nicola's house was the perfect place to stay for our visit to see friends and family in NY and NJ. The bedroom, sitting room and bathrooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed is firm, but very comfortable. The house and garden are beautiful. Getting the bus to NY is a breeze. The bus stop is only 5 minutes away and the ride to NY is between 20 - 30 minutes at most. The train station is also within waling distance.
Nicola is an incredibly attentive and helpful host. She gave us a lot of great information about things to do and places to eat in Rutherford and in New York. We are looking forward to staying there again for our next trip to that area.

  • Lovely, comfortable, quirky house in a quiet neighborhood. The room was clean, cheerful and comfortable too. Our hostess was friendly and accommodating, we felt very much at home. Easy access to New York City. For us it was a peaceful refuge for a holiday visit to family in a nearby town.
