We had a really great time at Jynx's house! She is a must-see if you do to Ireland, she let you sit in the sofa for a talk, close to the fire.
The banana cake was very good!
Jynx is very talkative, you have a lot of stories to learn from her!
We enjoyed discover the unusual Santas she makes ;)
The house itself is great and Jynx thought of everything. If you have a car, it'd be ideal. But, you can also get taxis to and from the nearby towns for 10-20 euros. And, the loveliness makes it worth the expense. I'd definitely recommend it.
Jynx is a fantastic host who, as an American, runs the most authentic Irish cottage BnB. The rooms are very cosy and really well-decorated, with unique and homely charm. We loved her family's hand-made quilt on our bed, and she made banana bread for us in the morning. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to spend with Jynx as we were staying for only one night but she was very friendly and warm when she met us and made us feel at home.
Jynx was a great host - very talkative and funny, she told us a lot of interesting stories about her experience in Ireland. We loved that! It's a charming cottage, next to Natural Park. It was so nice to meet you Jynx! Take care :)
Great place to stay in the mountains, nice walking trails to go hiking on. Jynx is very friendly and inviting. No public transport around so a little hard to get to the shops or go out, but jynx was happy to give us a lift to town. Thanks for the stay.
It was very nice staying at her place. Its a charming antmophere around the hills and its definitly worse going there...
We arrived at Jynx's lovely home, and it is the most idyllic cottage. It is the type of cottage you picture when you think of country Ireland, and it was even more snug and cosy then we could have hoped for. Jynx had even left some of her famous home made banana bread for us for breakfast, along with some walking trail maps. The cake was delicious and the hike gave us a spectacular view over Tipperary. Overall, it was very welcoming and we highly recommend Jynx's home.
We had a wonderful time here. Jynx is a warm, eclectic, inviting woman. She was away when we rolled in so we called her and went to a cozy pub down the street - She surprised us by meeting us there - it was lovely to have a drink and do a little chatting before tucking in for the night. In the morning she laid out information on beautiful hikes in the area and when we explained that we didn't have a lot of time, pointed us in the direction of a short but beautiful local hike. The bed was very comfortable - it was a good night's rest. Thank you Jynx!
When we drove up Jynx was working outside and promptly she had us in her living room with cups of tea and maps of the nearby trails! Jynx has a wonderful bubbly personality and made us feel so welcome! Her home is so warm and cozy! We were fortunate to have met her:)
