A downtown location doesn't get any better than this, yet our place is very quiet. You can either take the public transit, bike share, walk or if you need to drive, zipcar and car2go are just across the street.
This guest room is part of a two-bedroom plus den apartment that boasts one of downtown Toronto’s largest private terraces. The apartment is situated over a residential courtyard, so there’s no traffic noise and yet we are right in the middle of downtown Toronto.
The apartment features:
1250 sf of living space.
An 800 square-foot private terrace offering unobstructed south- and west-facing views of downtown Toronto. From the terrace you will enjoy an amazing view of the CN tower, the OCAD building and great sunsets. The terrace has an electric barbeque, which guests are free to use.
Antique furnishings from China and Indonesia in the living room and den, which were recently featured in Apartment Therapy.

Free wi-fi access throughout the apartment and terrace
Access to a fitness room within the building, with elliptical machines, running machines, free weights, and a universal set. The building also has a hot tub.
THE GUEST ROOM
Your private room is located on the opposite side of the apartment from the master bedroom, so privacy is assured, and just two steps from your private, full bath. A comfortable full-sized bed, (the mattress size is 135x191cm), is outfitted with fresh linens and pillows. A secretary desk with three large, empty drawers allow guests to set up their laptops and organize their belongings. There is also space in the closet to hang clothes as well as an iron and ironing board. Towels are included.
Situated between Queen and Dundas on Saint Patrick St., the location is residential yet just steps away from many of Toronto’s downtown attractions, including Queen West Village.
Klemens, an interior designer and music composer originally from Indonesia, and Rob, a journalist and screenwriter from Philadelphia, have lived in Toronto for nine years. We also have a cat named Mochi. She is very friendly and she gets along with everyone.
This is a shared apartment. As guests you will have access to Guest bedroom, Guest bathroom, the kitchen, the fridge, dish washer, washing machine and dryer, the living room, the terrace, all building common areas( the gym, the hot pool ( only in the spring and summer) and the library.
Interaction with Guests
We are respectful of guests’ privacy but if you wish, are happy to show you around the neighborhood and give tips on where to go.
We are so lucky to live in a neighborhood with the highest diversity in the most diverse city in the world.
Since we live in the heart of downtown, you can practically walk to everywhere.
Just steps from Toronto’s exciting Queen Street West with its many one of a kind shops and eateries.
A two-minute walk to the Art Gallery of Ontario.
A five-minute walk to Chinatown and Baldwin Village .
It is less than 10 minutes on foot to City Hall, The Sheraton hotel, Hilton and the Eaton Center.
A 15 minute walk to Kensington Market and less than 30 minute walk to Little Italy, Saint Lawrence Market, The CN tower and Yorkville shopping area.
The Village By The Grange Food court is right next door.
Most major hospitals in Toronto are located 10 minute walk from our place.
We are covered on all four sides by The Toronto Transit Commission ( TTC). Saint Patrick subway is less than 2 minute walk. The streetcars run along Dundas St West, McCaul street and Queens Street West, all within 5 minute walk from our place. The Hop on-Hop off bus services for tourists have a stop right behind our building on McCaul street. For those with memberships, car2go and Zipcar are available in the parking lot across our building. Toronto bike share is also available a block away.
We have free parking available for our guests in our building ( first comes first served). Paid parking is available right across the street from our building.
Other Things to Note
We have a cat.
We don't like imposing rules on others, but we do hope that you will keep noise at a reasonable level and be respectful to others who live in this building.
Smoking is only permitted on the terrace.
