Our house is by the shore on the island of Gearradubh, linked to Grimsay, the Uists and Benbecula by causeways. High-tide and the water arrives in the garden!
The upstairs bedroom looks out over the sea with a view of the surrounding moorland too.
The space
The house is in a tranquil position on a beautiful and spectacular set of wild islands.
Guest access
The house is a traditional Scottish croft-house built in the 1920s and on the East coast of the island chain.
There is a bathroom for your use only and lounge downstairs whilst the bedroom is upstairs.
Other things to note
We do have a dog - a soppy spaniel.

The variety of scenery and the light here are spectacular. The west coast beaches run for miles whilst the east coast lochs and moors are a total contrast.

With my wife, both retired teachers, we now spend half the year on the beautiful Hebrides islands and the other half in the Ardeche in the South of France, growing vegetables and restoring our ruin! Interested in birding, archaeology and the outdoors, the islands are perfect for pursuing those interests. As you might see from the photos of the house my wife has taken up weaving and spinning since we retired.
