Eco-award-winning accommodation and archery & music school at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains and 300m from the Blackwater River (fishing and canoeing) Glenribbeen has much to offer the discerning guest - including an adobe oven & sports-gear
Glenribbeen Apartment is under our home and B&B. It forms part of the eco-award winning (Irish and European)accommodation that is prized for it's gardens, natural beauty of the setting, the sports equipment available and the fact that there is a music school and an archery school that guests are encouraged to make use of.
Set amongst mature trees and gardens, Glenribbeen (the valley of the little thread-like river) is at the foot of the mountains and but 10mins walk from the Blackwater River one of Europe's premier salmon rivers. We encourage guests to take advantage of our sports equipment - canoe, bikes, kites, garden-games, maps, guides etc. There are many walks in the area from a gentle stroll along the banks of the river to some energetic rock-climbing on the nearby mountains.
All rooms are heated (in an eco-friendly manner) and beds etc are new (2010). As well as cooker, micro, etc there is a washing machine and dishwasher.
Glenribbeen has been awarded the Gold award by the Irish Green Hospitality Awards, the European Union Green Flower Award and other awards for food, gardens, eco-sustainability and more. Glenribbeen has free broadband and bikes, kites canoe and musical instruments.
Respect nature and other animals (including humans) keep all waste separated in the various containers.
Don't feed the (two) dogs or the terrapins - without permission from Els or Peter. Don't leave beer around or the hens might/will drink it. (Great eggs though)!!
Stay here and you could give this host their first review!
