Interaction with Guests
You share the rest of the apartment with me (32) and my flatmate Jacob (28). We are both working so we will be away most of the day.
Sometimes we have dinner with our guests at home or go out.
The apartment is situated at a perfect spot:
1) The metro station is 5 minutes away.
2) Five minutes away you find Islands Brygge which is a fashionable mainly residential neighborhood with small shops, cafés and the popular harbour bath where a lot of Danes hang out, swim or barbecue. You will love it!
3) It is right next to the IT University, the Concert Hall, University of Copenhagen (KUA) and the broadcasting corporation DR Byen.
4) From the apartment you can see a lovely nature park. Take a walk and try to find the hidden lake or the small hill where there is a good view over Copenhagen - if you are lucky you will see a small deer, a hare or a pheasant.
5) Just down the street you find a grocery store, a fitness center, sports field, play ground and so on.
From the metro station
-It is 5 and 7 minutes from the two main stations in the city centre, respectively.
-It is 20 minutes from the airport.
-It is 4 minutes from the conference center 'Bella Center'.
The metro is operating 24/7 and it is safe and easy to use. A single ticket from the airport costs 36 Danish kroner.
Free parking is possible.

Pia made my weekend trip to Copenhagen even better. She is absolutely wonderful as a host. Communications was always easy, we had great conversations and her recommendations for the city were also top. The apartment is beautiful, has everything you need and is located in a modern architectural place. Even all people use bikes to go around town, I spend my days with walking. The apartment is pretty good located for that. Thank you so much Pia!
Pia was a fantastic interesting, positive host who made me feel very welcome and was delightful to share with. Her apartment is modern, light, funky, central and very easy to get to with easy access to transport
Pia and her roommate Jacob were both very welcoming! I really, really enjoyed staying here. Not only did Pia provide me with a ton of great, local information but her flat is very close to the metro station. The flat is clean and spacious. The room I stayed in was great for a solo traveler, like myself. I didn't get to see Pia very much but she was very helpful through email as well.
Thank you for letting me stay in your wonderful home!
On the plus side:
--communication with Pia prior to my arrival (incl. laying down the ground rules)
--I was never disturbed
--Pia waited for me patiently when I was nearly late upon arrival
--the whole place (incl. my room) was clean
--I had access to everything important (= everything other than Pia and her roommate's private rooms): bathroom, kitchen, wi-fi, washing machine...
On the downside:
--I had expected more interaction while both (actually, all three) of us were at home; I didn't want to "invade" her privacy, but can't rule out she might have felt I didn't want to be disturbed, so it's really hard to say
--I would probably not describe the flat as "amazing"; modern, bright, cosy, clean--sure
Thanks for the feedback, Jan. Its always hard to sense how much socializing the guests wants. Some guests prefer less - others like more. As a rule of thumb I almost never disturb when the guest is in his/her room. But maybe its a good idea to ask the guest upon arrival.
Pia is a wonderful host who waited for us even though we arrived late at her apartment! Her apartment is clean and very spacious! It is also at a very good location, we were able to get to the city centre very fast! I recommend staying with Pia if you like a comfortable and fuzz-free experience:)
Pia was a wonderful host. Her instructions on how to get to the apt. were excellent. She included transit maps and very detailed maps of how to find the apt. She emailed me in advance of my reservation, everything i needed to know about the neighbourhood and useful info about the apt.
The apt. was lovely and just like the photos, so no disappointments! I would highly recommend this apt. to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean and quiet space with great views of the spectacular surrounding buildings and canals.
Thanks so much Pia, I hope to return some day!
It was a pleasure to spend four nights as a guest in Pia's apartment. The bed in my private room was very comfortable and my room had a great window that looked out over the serene canal. Pia's instructions on how to arrive at her apartment were clear, and she was friendly and helpful during my visit. I chose to stay with Pia because I was attending a conference at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Humanities campus, and the university was an easy 5 minute walk from her apartment. I highly recommend staying with Pia!

About the Host, Pia
A few words about myself.
I work as a journalist, but like everyone else I love traveling and luckily I have six weeks of vacation each year.
I have seen more than 30 countries. This year I have especially lucky and has so far spent two months in California and Nevada. Mainly San Francisco but did a roadtrip to LA, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite and Lake County. I was an amazing trip.
When I am not traveling I am working at a Danish newspaper, hanging out with friends and family, baking mouthwatering bread or simply just relaxing with a podcast or movie.
It would be nice to meet you so book this place if you are planning a trip to Copenhagen. During your visit I will help you as much as I can and if you have any questions about Copenhagen, the Danish culture or whatever just ask.
I am a private person, but very social in between my alone time and I enjoy a good conversation with my guests. My home is always kept clean, tidy and comfortable.
All the best
Note. I share the apartment with my friend Jacob so you get to meet two nice Danes. :)
