Interaction with Guests
You share the rest of the apartment with me (32) and my flatmate Jacob (28). We are both working so we will be away most of the day.
Sometimes we have dinner with our guests at home or go out.
The apartment is situated at a perfect spot:
1) The metro station is 5 minutes away.
2) Five minutes away you find Islands Brygge which is a fashionable mainly residential neighborhood with small shops, cafés and the popular harbour bath where a lot of Danes hang out, swim or barbecue. You will love it!
3) It is right next to the IT University, the Concert Hall, University of Copenhagen (KUA) and the broadcasting corporation DR Byen.
4) From the apartment you can see a lovely nature park. Take a walk and try to find the hidden lake or the small hill where there is a good view over Copenhagen - if you are lucky you will see a small deer, a hare or a pheasant.
5) Just down the street you find a grocery store, a fitness center, sports field, play ground and so on.
From the metro station
-It is 5 and 7 minutes from the two main stations in the city centre, respectively.
-It is 20 minutes from the airport.
-It is 4 minutes from the conference center 'Bella Center'.
The metro is operating 24/7 and it is safe and easy to use. A single ticket from the airport costs 36 Danish kroner.
Free parking is possible.

Pia is a wonderful host who waited for us even though we arrived late at her apartment! Her apartment is clean and very spacious! It is also at a very good location, we were able to get to the city centre very fast! I recommend staying with Pia if you like a comfortable and fuzz-free experience:)
Pia was a wonderful host. Her instructions on how to get to the apt. were excellent. She included transit maps and very detailed maps of how to find the apt. She emailed me in advance of my reservation, everything i needed to know about the neighbourhood and useful info about the apt.
The apt. was lovely and just like the photos, so no disappointments! I would highly recommend this apt. to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean and quiet space with great views of the spectacular surrounding buildings and canals.
Thanks so much Pia, I hope to return some day!
It was a pleasure to spend four nights as a guest in Pia's apartment. The bed in my private room was very comfortable and my room had a great window that looked out over the serene canal. Pia's instructions on how to arrive at her apartment were clear, and she was friendly and helpful during my visit. I chose to stay with Pia because I was attending a conference at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Humanities campus, and the university was an easy 5 minute walk from her apartment. I highly recommend staying with Pia!
I had a wonderful stay at Pia's apartment. I stayed for just one evening. The room (and apartment as a whole) was spacious, comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood was pleasant with great views over the canal, and it was easy to reach from the airport by metro. The city centre was a pleasant 20/30 minute walk, or 5 minute trip on the metro. Pia was a great and attentive host, and I would definitely stay here again if in Copenhagen.
It was comfortable and in a good location, the neighborhood was pretty quiet, Pia was helpful, she was injured while we were there and it was a pity she couldn't be of more help.
Pia was an excellent host providing a very nice flat with easy access to central Copenhagen. Next time I'm in Copenhagen, this is where I would like to stay.
500 words to describe 10 days of living in a spotless, fully ergonomic apartment with two balconies and all amenities. However, it was Pia's and Jes's unwavering attention to detail and assistance which astounded me. Luggage lost by airline and no telephone with me? They followed up to resolve. Need a bike? For a pittance, Pia's bicycle was perfect. Renting a car? Free parking with their pass right in front of the building. Need peace and quiet, while in a real thriving neighborhood? Both intact. The apartment was spotless and making Danish food in a fully stocked Danish kitchen, having shopped in nearby Danish grocery stores was a thrill. Downtown Copenhagen was 20 minutes ride or less via bike. Both Pia and Jes were accommodating, conscientious and still left you with your peace and quiet. Midway through, Jes was kind enough to stop by, restock things a bit and do all that a hotel would do - for a fraction of price. Airbnb will not be forever and this kind of perfect place will not always be around. I cannot simply recommend the apartment - I urge you to go and experience the fantastic experience of living in a Danish neighborhood in a perfectly Danish apartment as I did. I cannot thank either Pia or Jes enough. They struck a perfect balance with allowing you to be completely on your own while always being available to help.

About the Host, Pia
A few words about myself.
I work as a journalist, but like everyone else I love traveling and luckily I have six weeks of vacation each year.
I have seen more than 30 countries. This year I have especially lucky and has so far spent two months in California and Nevada. Mainly San Francisco but did a roadtrip to LA, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite and Lake County. I was an amazing trip.
When I am not traveling I am working at a Danish newspaper, hanging out with friends and family, baking mouthwatering bread or simply just relaxing with a podcast or movie.
It would be nice to meet you so book this place if you are planning a trip to Copenhagen. During your visit I will help you as much as I can and if you have any questions about Copenhagen, the Danish culture or whatever just ask.
I am a private person, but very social in between my alone time and I enjoy a good conversation with my guests. My home is always kept clean, tidy and comfortable.
All the best
Note. I share the apartment with my friend Jacob so you get to meet two nice Danes. :)
A nice place to get basic groceries.
From here you can travel by the fast and safe metro to the airport or other popular areas in Copenhagen.
This is a very popular place during summer because you can hang out, barbecue or take a swim.
