A cosy, bright and modern, well furnished and tastefully decorated studio ( renovated 2011 ) with its separate, fully equipped kitchen, spacious shower room, and living area in Paris lively Montparnesse area.
The Montparnesse area is known for being at the turn of the century, the heart of the intellectual and artistic life of Paris. Many of the original cafes and bars are still standing and open for business. The area is known today for its rich artistic history, its night life: great theatre, ( a good number of productions in English)its superb choice of Breton crepes: salty and sugary, some of the oldest and fashionable French brasseries, museums and superb shopping depending on your budget.
The flat is situated a 10 minute walk from the famous culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu. For those on business at the Porte de Versailles, there`s a bus line that will leave right at the door of the centre. And for guests doing research / work at the world famous Centre de Cherche de Pasteur...the flat is just 5 minute walk away.
Near the apartment, for your convenience: a supermarket ( a very nice one and quite big too!) , bakeries, butchers, fish stores ( excellent take away) , restaurants, and gourmet shops . Near the Montparnesse area, there's an open market where you can find organic and local products once a week. ( there`s another one very typical and very Parisian on line 6, getting off at station Duplex every Wednesday ... my favorite!)
The apartment has a good quality pull out bed for 1 or 2 people. There's top of the line internet, free international calls to most countries, and international TV, a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board.
RER B to line 6
I keep in touch with my guests as much as they need me. I understand that my guests also appreciate a down time and I respect their choice

First of all, Monica was absolutely wonderful. If she is any indication of other host, I would book with Airbnb. She was there to greet me and go over all the necessary details. At every turn she made herself available; no matter the issue or question.
The apartment is adequate for one person; perhaps a couple. It's charming and cozy The location is perfection. In close proximity to both line 12 and 6. Monparnasse station is a fifteen minute walk. The center of Paris is a 10 minute ride on the Metro; yet your in a real Parisian neighborhood minus the tourist. Safety was an issue for me; however never did I feel unsafe no matter the hour of the day or evening. Every conceivable need is within steps of the apartment; literally steps. I highly recommend the location, apartment, but above all else Monica. She is the best!!!!!
A friend and I rented the apartment because of how conveniently located it was to Le Cordon Bleu. It was about an 800m stroll away and just the right distance for us. Not too far a walk (and not too near! we needed to work off the calories). The apartment is really close to two metro stations (Vaugirard and Pasteur) and has many supermarkets plus other services that you may need. It's an extremely residential area so we felt really safe, despite living on the first floor.
The flat itself was very well maintained and clean. It was great that there were towels provided (even though we brought our own).
It's pretty small but we were there to sleep more than to live long-term.
I'd recommend this to anyone who intends to study at the school and is looking for an apartment or, wants to try living in a very residential area.
It really isn't too far from anything since Paris is realistically walkable from one end to the other!
Monica has been a wonderful host! She walked me to the metro station and showed me how to buy tickets. Our stay in Paris for 2.5 months was the best experience for us. We would certainly rent the studio apartment from her again if ever we go back to Paris.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment was small, but nice and clean and very comfortable (especially the shower, which has just the right combination of hot and high-pressure to be an appealing plus). Perfect for a couple spending a week in Paris. It is located very close to two metro stations in a quiet area. The window in the living room faces the street at ground level, but the shutters can be retracted and the layer adhered to the window avoids the room to be seen from outside, so there is plenty of light inside.
The host, Monica, was very kind and helpful (and speaks spanish besides english and french) and provided us with as many indications as we needed.
I stayed in Monica's apartment to follow a course at Le Cordon Bleu and it was perfect: great location: only a 5-10 minute walk to the school and the Metro station Volontiares, bus 95 passing right by the house, yummy sushi place just across the street, great restaurants and speciality stores nearby,...), clean, well equipped with TV, telephone and internet and a very friendly landlady.
Monica is a lovely person and was very helpful with giving information and responding yery quickly to questions.
Yes, the apartment is a bit noisy, but I brought earplugs and got used to it after a couple of night.
If you want to experience real-life Paris: This is the place to be!
We were happy to come back to this apartment at the end of each exciting day in Paris. Overall, our experience was good. The shower is excellent. There are lots of drawers and a closet for your clothes. You do have to pull out the bed, but it was very comfortable as were the pillows. The washer is easy to use. The wi-fi is excellent. I think the kitchen needs to be renovated and I only felt comfortable using the toaster; I had hoped to cook more but utensils and pots not conducive to cooking. I am sure Monica will get around to updating the kitchen soon. Monica is friendly and helpful.
Mónica is a very nice and gently person. She was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived and she was very helpful with us. We really enjoy our stay at her studio suite, which was very comfortable, nice and practical for us.
First of all, I'd like to mention that Monica is a wonderful host. The communication was very smooth, clear and timely.
I loved this cozy and clean apartment. It contains all that you need : fridge, washing machine, plates and glasses. The location is perfect: 5-7 min walk to the metro station Volontaires, 15-20 min walk to Montparnasse. Also just in front of the building there is a bike station! Paris by bike is such a treat! You might be a bit concerned by the street noise since a bus route passes right in front of the window. After I read a previous review, I took a pair or earplugs with . But every evening I was so tired that I slept all night long pretty tightly.
All in all, I recommend this apartment for all who wants to discover a residential part of Paris and experience a "real" Parisian life.
Il soggiorno è stato confortevole, la posizione buona rispetto ai servizi e al metrò, la casa ben agibile, ci sono forse troppi mobili e un tavolino troppo piccolo. Nel complesso il giudizio è più che positivo.
